Gaming Dsi XL always charging and volume control problem

Hi!
I have the following problems.First my dsi xl always charging,it doesn't stop when it is fully charged.The red light is always on.Secondly, my volume control buttons not working.I changed them but same thing happens.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Could be your battery is wearing out and needs to be replaced. No idea on the volume.
