Hi all, hoping someone can advise and potentially diagnose what is going on with the bottom screen of my DS Lite.
I've discovered some strange pulsing(?) and intermittent colour banding on the bottom display and I'm wondering if it's just the display generally failing, or if it is interference or another electrical issue. Touchscreen element works fine though.
This happened a little and then went away, and would seem to come back after a full charge, before slowly getting better as the battery depleted. Now it happens all the time and is pretty bad!
There seems to be a yellow colour cast mostly, not the well known 'yellowing' of the screen, but as in the actual pixels are stuck on yellow.
Here is a link to a video I took showing it in action; https://mega.nz/folder/eYVAxApa#OVBDGjrow-pm66VFfWUfpw
You'll see the strong 'phasing' and banding at first whilst it is plugged in on charge, and then halfway through; unplugging, which changes the colours quite a bit! (more natural I think) and the dotted green line now appears at the very top of the screen and you can still see some pulsing (evident with vertical white lines coming off the battery icon).
I'm happy to carefully open up and repair what is necessary but don't want to do something that isn't necessary so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
(oh, and I've already tried the easy screw potentiometer adjustment for the screen, and it just makes everything worse - i.e. was on the best setting)
