Will you leave optional in the future?
I use a 3ds.
Yep I don't like it either I just want to load straight to my roms menu not have fancy but pointless bells and whistles beforehand. I get why others may like this but make it optional please.

v6.7.1

Updating from v6.7.0 and later
  • Overwrite the `_nds` folder on the SD root, with the new one from the .7z file.
What's new?
  • Main Menu can now be set to be hidden in the settings screen. (Requested by @w0nd3rb0yfx and @AmandaRose)
  • Main Menu: Pictochat and DS Download Play are now booted directly without rebooting. (Fix from @nocash123 included to fix wireless comminucation issues for both apps.)
    Place the following in `sd:/_nds`:
    • pictochat.nds
    • dlplay.nds
This is not required for DSi users with Hiya, as they should already be able to use them.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed DSi and 3DS themes not working (stuck on white screen) for flashcard users.
  • For flashcard users, it should no longer be stuck on the `Now Loading...` screen in the DSi and 3DS themes.

Where can I get those files, pictochat.nds and dlplay.nds?
I'm using a 3DS.

Well, this update is great ! But there is something missing, something that people playing Pkmn B/W 1 and 2 absolutely want.... Cheats :(
Please, try to do something. DSATM doesn't works with Pkmn Black & White, and Black 2 & White 2, and I really wanna play with cheats on, on my 3DS, not only on Desmume...

How do i update? Im currently at DsiMenu++
Update instructions
  1. In `sd:/_nds`, rename `DSiMenuPlusPlus` to `TWiLightMenu`.
  2. Overwrite the `_nds` folder and `boot.nds` file on the SD root, with the new ones from the .7z file.
  3. For DSi CFW users, put `title` folder from `CFW - SDNAND root` folder, onto the SD card root.
If you're asked to overwrite, click `Yes`.
  4. On 3DS, install the two CIAs in the `cia` folder.

I just tried several times to install HiyaCFW and TwiLightMenu++ on 3 different NDSi (one regular, two XL, all running firmware 1.4.5E) using the instructions in dsi.cfw.guide
The installation worked without a problem getting the NAND and thenusing HiyaCFW-Helper-v2.9.9.2-Win64. All NDSi use 2GB SD cards.

With every attempt though I get a

"An error has occurred
Press and hold the POWER
[...]"

screen when booting

As HiyaCFW-Helper always gets the newest software, everything should be the newest version as of today, namely

ulaunch V1.8
HiyaCFW v1.3.2
nds-bootstrap v0.13.0
TWLMenu++ V6.7.1

Any idea what could be wrong?

Is HiyaCFW set to autoboot TWiLight Menu++?

I'm currently stuck in an R4 theme loop. Any attempt to restart Twilight Menu boots directly into the last played ROM, no matter what I do. I now remember that I hate R4 theme, and that I do not know how to fix it without completely uninstalling and reinstalling twilight menu.

Help?

Hold Select before the last played ROM starts.

For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.
