Gaming Do you think Nintendo will release a BoTW save transfer tool?

For people who own a wii u and is waiting to buy a switch (so they don't make the same mistake they did with the wii u).
BoTW is a huge game and it would be a shame if people who waited on buying the switch (and stuck with wii u version) would have to do all the progress they made again.

The wii u has ended for one. So they arent putting in any more work on it.
Then they are trying to cut all ends with the wii u.

I was asking in general, I already preordered switch version. (and will be pirating wii u one)

Some people are waiting to buy the switch since they might make the same mistake they made with the wii u (buying it)

My initial thought is, no probably not, but after a little more consideration, I'll say that its possible Nintendo may offer such a tool, however, if it proves to be too much of a hassle I think they'd just drop the idea.

You do realize that the Wii U has been sufficiently hacked for a while right? Leaving people no need to buy any titles for the system. Its understandable why one might download the game while they wait to be able to afford both a Switch and Breath of the Wild for it. Or, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii U version finds its way online at a certain ISO site before March 3rd and impatient people might want to play the game before they can actually buy it and the Switch.

If you bought Call of Duty Ghosts for PS3/360 you had the option to upgrade to the PS4/Xone versions for $10 when they came out... You could then even resell the disc you bought for the older gen and keep the digital version on the newer gen.

Nintendo in the other hand will have customers pay full price for both wii u/switch version of BOTW and it's DLC... Also people who bought SNES virtual console games for WII U had to buy them again to be able to play them on 3DS even when using the same account...
