Gaming Destiny on XB1 and XB360

We already have Destiny on XB360.

We are thinking of getting an XB1 for Christmas.

If we do and we get Destiny for XB1, will our characters and achievements cross over?

We will probably still play the 360 version since all our friends have 360s, but it would be nice to have the xb1 when we are playing games just for achievements and don't need friends..

Is there any XB1 or XB360 specific achievements?

No, 360 achievements and XBone achievements are separate.
You can still view 360 achievements on the Xbone, but they won't "cross over"

Thanks DinohScene, that's exactly what I needed to know..

I was hoping for "play xbox360 with friends" and "play xboxone for solo missions", but if the achievements don't cross over I guess we won't purchase Destiny for XboxOne..

No problem.
It's the same with every multi gen game that comes for 360/Xbone.
None of the achievements carry over.
You can view them as 360 achievements but they won't unlock on a Xbone nor do Xbone achievements unlock on 360 ;]
