Hacking Cheats Not Working On iEvo

Hi, I'm using the Cyclo iEvo and have cheats installed. I followed the instructions to activate Cheats by pressing Y when selecting the rom and selecting the cheats I want activated. However, when I start up the rom, the cheats are not in use. Can someone assist to advise?

I've tried the methods they say (except for activating the codes manually under R4CCE) and they still don't work. Is this an isolated issue for DSi only? I've upgraded my Cyclo Evo for my DS Lite to v2.2 but the issue doesn't occur there...

Are there any other carts which don't have this issue?
