does that mean i'm done installing the cfw? Is everything going to work now? Do I have all the access I need?
According to the guide you have already installed the CFW (Luma3ds), but the problem here is that you (still) haven't a program to install cias (games) on your console.

And where do I get that... And also in the guide there's that step again with the health and safety one and it still can't work for me...

But I have to go back on the Sysnand to backup the things and it asks for the health and safety thing again :/
OMG IT FINALLY INSTALLED THE FBI.CIA
Sorry, I missed that you have edited your previous message, so yes if you have managed to install FBI, you can proceed with the guide skipping the step about restoring the Health and Safety app.

Nevermind, I was talking about FBI.

In order to be able to boot a 3ds without the sd inserted with the a9lh installed, you need to move using FBI the file called "arm9loaderhax.bin" from the root of your sd to the CTR NAND.

If I'm supposed to access the FBI through my console well... It's not allowing me to to use the CTR NAND.. It says "failed to open file listing archive" .. I copied the arm9loaderhax.bin and the CTR nand doesn't allow me to access it..

So just keep the arm9loaderhax.bin on the recovery of your sd, keeping it inserted and boot your console holding the select button in order to access to the Luma Configuration page. You don't really need to have the arm9loaderhax.bin into the CTR Nand, this is just to be able to boot your device without a sd inserted, nothing less nothing more.

I held the select button but nothing happens; I've tried using the start button but that doesn't bring me to the Luma configuration but back to the hourglass9 menu ...

EFIT: actually nevermind it worked I'm on the Luma page now

Are you on a 11.2 firmware, right? Try to delete/move the folder called "Nintendo 3ds" from your sd to your computer and see if you are able to boot again.

Ok so now that the Luma page opened up I selected the “Show NAND or user string in System Settings” and started the Console again. I got 3 new apps (FBI, homebrew and Luma I think) but the games I previously owned aren't there (they were all demos though) my firmware is 11.2.-35E.... Am I ready with everything now? Do I need to worry about something or am I just paranoid..?

Yep, you should finally ready to go, I'd just suggest you to install freeshop (https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-freeshop-open-source-eshop-clone.426573/) in order to download directly the games that you like in your console.

Why are you so fixated on the Hs.app anyways? That step is completely irrelevant if you already have FBI. However it's worth noting that if you've deleted your actual health and safety from your console, and you want it back, then perform a system update on the console. This will fix Health and Safety. You don't really need it though but you might as well.

And yes you're ready, but I'd still put the arm9loaderhax.bin file on the CTR NAND so you can boot without SD card if need be .. That's why I'm rather puzzled when you say you can't access it. Are you following the instructions word to word?

And I must ask is the reason you weren't able to install anything on the SD card previously because you tested your Sd card with h2testw but didn't remove the test files? Those files test the SD card by writing on it and your SD card was effectively full if you didn't remove them -_-.

Also make damn sure you have your NAND backup and that you copy it to multiple places juuust in case.

i thought that if I wouldn't have the hs.app I could brick it that's why I was very paranoid since its my first time trying out something new like this..

Yep I was even following a guide and YouTube video made from the 27/01/2017 so it was reliable and I was upset and surprised myself why I couldn't access it...and it still wouldn't..

Yep I wasn't able to install anything because I thought those could be helpful but they weren't in the end  but still even after deleting those I wasn't able to do the hs.app but that's an old story now.

And yes I'm making sure of that! I don't want to go through this anymore... Too much time when it's meant to be at least 3 hours... It took me 6+ hours to actually do it and it's 1:14am now here and I have school today :(

THANK YOU!
