You tell him to keep his opinion to himself, then say yours?
Keep your hypocrisy to yourself.

Despite his opinion after another, Kingdom Hearts shouldn't be ignored as a RPG. Play any game listed here. They're all great titles. I agree with Tactical RPGs, can't stand them as well. But I won't tell you not to play or avoid them. To each their own.

Try that new game from Square Enix, Hikari no 4 Senshi.
It uses an art style similar to that of Zelda Wind Waker, the battles also are simple and your AP recharges in battle so it is like you have unlimited MP to cast spells! I took down all the bosses so far using the ATTACK -> HEAL * ATTACK -> ATTACK * HEAL TURN * SKILL -> SKILL tactic.

Why does everyone always forget Fire Emblem!
It absolutely rocks!
And play Dragon Quest IV too.

I agree, Fire Emblem does rock.

Just some suggestions:

Dragon quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Summon Night Twin Age
Chrono Trigger
The World Ends With You (must play if you havent already)

I liked Nostalgia. It's a little old fashioned, but if you like it that way...

Pokemon is good for Pokemon fans.

TWEWY is nothing to call home about, but it's alright. If you're a weaboo you'll most definitely love it, but if you're a core RPG guy you'll find it decent.

POWDER DS is a dungeon crawler/rogue-like (which were the early foundations of RPGs, IIRC). It takes some growing into, but I found it addictive. It's homebrew, by the way, so you can find it on FileTrip.

Beyond the Yellow Brick Road is a very minimalist's RPG, but I liked it a bit.
