PS1/2 Backup Game Help

Ok so i recently soft modded my fat ps2. I burned some backups i had at 4x speed. hen i actually play and control the game it works fine, but when a cut scene comes out or something like the*tutorial* it lags, gets stuck for a second or sometimes just freezes. So i have to skip all the cut scenes. I don't really think the problems are my disks. I bought a 50 pack of SONY 16x dvd-r. *made in Taiwan* Am i burning at wrong speeds? Or is it something completely different please help. Thank you

depends on how you load your backup

magic swap: if it does the same with multiple rip (and even some originals) your laser is dying
ESR: not compatible with everything, dying laser
usb: bad compatibility, super slow and laggy
SMB: HQ cutscenes can stutter, compatibility problems are rare
HDD: compatibility prob (rare), dying hdd

also consider the possibility that the image might be corrupted.

you can try to load the game in pcsx2

If you have a FAT PS2 and your laser is dying, your best bet is to get a Network Adapter and put a huge HDD in it. After that just install your games on the HDD.
