In that lapse of time shure, unless you get money from a friend and get it in less time you will find even higher fw than 5.0

They'll almost definitely be in the wild a year from now. I'd say you're safe now, as long as the store's had consoles in stock that haven't sold yet. I'd get really cautious when games including the 5.0.0 update come, though

Sadly i don't live next to any stores so i have to hope that amazon have some switches on old fws.

Nope, if you go Amazon you're screwed. There's no way to pick by serial number and they're CONSTANTLY rotating stock from their warehouses to keep inventory to a minimum

Won't take near that long. 2 months from the initial availability of 5.0.0 is my guess.
Switches are sold and replaced very quickly.

I think the first productions with firmware 5.0.0 are on its way and in the next few weeks, you will get it on stock.

In europe small countries is possible to find old fw, but at least in summer we have 5.0 units almost anywhere.

No, you should be fine FOR NOW. Worst case, though, you get it and it is on 5.0.0 and you return it. You'd only be out the shipping fee
