What firmware are you on currently? You most likely won't need to update, you can hack on nearly every firmware.

hack your 3ds on the firmware you are on now, then you can update to 11.3 with no worries!

Nah, that's pretty safe so long as you actually have a good SD card/SD card reader, have a full upgrade pack, and don't interrupt the 3DS while it does its thing.

That being said, it's not really needed because there isn't much special about 11.2. If you can run sysUpdater, you can install A9LH already and can update to 11.3 without losing it.

You won't have a browser if your console started at a low version and you only updated with cartridges instead of internet updates.
