I don't want to just flat out avoid the sale but I would like to buy something at some point because steam sales are crazy.

Just want to quickly recap this real quick, I can't play anything M atm (well atleast without my folks knowing ;) .) And i'm looking to not play the following (becuase I already have.)

Castle Crashers (Played this on PS3.)
Split Second (PS3.)
Sonic Adventure DX (I played this on the Sega Dreamcast, a friend gave it to me becuase I had some nostalgia of it playing it as a kid, around 5 - 6 years old?)
Uncharted 3 (I think thats a PS3 exclusive tho, not sure.)
Any Nintendo Software (NES - N64.) I have tons of Nintendo hardware and stuff to emulate games off of.
Dungeon Defenders (Already played this on PS3, I have plans for playing it later on PC though to get the "full" excperience.)

What would be some good indie games, or popular games on steam atm?

Super meat boy is a great game if you haven't played it already and you like a challenge, but I'm not to sure if it's in the steam sale.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just checked on steam and it's $2.84. that's a steal, especially for this game!

I'm a big fan of the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth series. If you like RPGs, they're pretty good. Normally they'd be a bit grind-heavy, until you realize that the focus isn't quite grinding for plot progression, but hunting down all the various enemies using the tools you're given so that you can craft upgrades with the drops. (Not Minecraft crafting, more like "you can activate this feature if you have two of these, one of these, and one of these") The upgrades are along the lines of changing what enemies or items spawn in a dungeon, unlocking new equipment in the shops, strengthening/weakening enemies, etc. The kind of things you'd mess with in Disgaea's Dark Assembly, if you've played that game.

I suggest anything from the BIT.TRIP series if you like music/rhythm games. 140 is another good one for music/rhythm (and a new level was added recently). Some of my other recommendations include THOTH, Sky Force Anniversary, simian.interface++, and SUPER IMPOSSIBLE ROAD. I'm pretty sure that all of BIT.TRIP is on sale. 140 is as well. I'm not sure about the rest.
