This is the simplest of things: I am trying to play music while working.
I've tried two different audio players: Winamp (always used that), and foobar2000, the problem's still there

The problem is everytime I do something on the computer, like switch windows, open a new tab, browse a page, the audio kind of "crackles" (like, it stops for a milisecond, and it's extremely annoying because it happens repeatedly). Some sort of buffer overrun/underrun or something.

Obviously since I am listening to music while working, I am always doing something on the computer so the audio glitches like that all the time. It makes listening to music quite annoying. I don't know why it started doing that recently.

I've no idea where to look about fixing this, like I said I've switched audio players without success. The "audio enhancements" in the Windows audio properties are disabled. I've tweaked settings in Winamp but without success either.

I am probably not using the proper vocabulary to describe my problem so this might be why I can't find any solution on Google :( any help is appreciated

Doesn't sound like an audio driver issues. Have you tried the same speakers on some other PC?

it's a wireless audio headset, when I use it on my phone via bluetooth it works perfectly well
it works great also on my laptop (the problem only occurs on my work computer, an all-in-one HP computer)

Maybe there's some miscommunication with the headset and the speakers that are connected to the work computer. Does the PC have any kind of speakers in?

U said it was an all in one PC.
Maybe try to set up the default playback device in the settings.
Right click on the Speakers button which is on the taskbar and choose Playback device. Then click on the wireless audio headset and choose " set as default "

of course it's the default speaker, otherwise it wouldn't playback any audio :P

I just updated a bunch of drivers and *for now* it doesn't seem to be doing it anymore.
I will keep this thread updated and see if anything new comes up :) thanks everyone for the replies

I've seen this problem many times with integrated sound card that relies on software sound rendering on both towers and laptop, usually the solution is to get a discrete sound card.
however, it seems a bit odd coming from a bluetooth headset, as this issue is usually seen with speakers and headphone using the 3.5mm jack.
