If you have a PS3, use that to download a demo and transfer it over to your Vita.
If you don't have a PS3 and you're not activated, you'll likely have to wait until someone figures out a sure-fire way to get a PSP base game running.
If you are activated, install a PSP demo using the PKG installer method, replace the license file with one from a homebrew (like Vitashell) and install Adrenaline as normal and it should work.
Have you connected your Vita to a PSN account and downloaded any legitimate games/apps before? If so, your Vita is activated. If not, it's unactivated.
At the moment, you need to be activated to install PSP PKG base games on the Vita as it requires at least some sort of license check. Some people have reported success using DRM-free PSP demos like Pixel Junk Monsters, but others say it doesn't work.
There's no way around this right now, we don't know if there's a way around this right now, and we have no idea when there will be a way around this right now.
