Plex is a free open source media center, kind of similar to XBMC but for a lot of more platforms, you can get Plex Servers off of Xbox 360's and Android phones, and basically every other system with internet connectivity

I've tried the Plex streamer, it's nice. I prefer Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) for my Media Center needs.

No problem. Honestly, it's been a while since I've messed with either one, I assume you're familiar with both, would you mind sharing why you prefer Plex to Kodi?

I've personally never tried Kodi, but i'm working on a plex app for Wii so thats why i need to know if i need to publish it or not, because if not many people use it i might just use it for my own streaming needs...

If you published it for the Wii I'd definitely be interested. I am making a Wii bartop arcade and adding a good media center would be a nice addition

That sounds like A LOT of fun! And yeah, does WiiMC have streaming features like Kodi or Plex?

I just use Windows Explorer/Nautils/Astro File Manager and VLC.

How do i do this? And i think Plex can pick up XBMC signals i forgot to add.. So if you do have XBMC i think you could watch the stream off of plex
