A new semester of killing is arriving soon , and I think it's high time to take a look into what it will offer .I immensely enjoyed the first game on the psp , but sadly missed the second . and with this releasing soon , my hype is right back where it belong. so here we go.

Story:Moving away from the setting of Hope's Peak Academy featured in previous games, Danganronpa V3 takes place at a prison school known as "Saishuu Academy" . Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist, suddenly finds herself trapped inside the school alongside fifteen other Ultimate Inmates. It is here that the self-proclaimed headmaster, Monokuma, and his five Monokuma Cubs, declare a mutual killing life, in which the inmates must try to kill each other without being found out. This is once again tested in the Class Trial, where the students must determine who the culprit is, becoming faced with execution if they guess incorrectly.

Gameplay: Not to much is known about this so I can't really comment on it , but 2 new features are the "panic debate" and the "brain mobile"

Cast:
As of right now I know of 5 members of the cast

Korekiyo Shinguji (CV: Kenichi Suzumura) – Ultimate Anthropologist

Korekiyo has plenty of experience in studying humans during his visits to various lands for his anthropology research. He has the opinion that “all humans have infinite beauty” from his experiences, and he’s extremely interested in observing the humans and seeing what kind of beauty they’ll show in confinement. His appearance is a bit on the eerie side, and his fundamental values can be considered a bit off. He’s calm and composed, and also pretty intelligent.

Tenko Chabashira (CV: Sora Tokui) – Ultimate Aikido Master

A user of “Neo Aikido,” a style that was somehow created by Tenko and her master after imagining aikido. She’s bright, is big on reactions, and a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She has a hatred towards men (instead of using 男子 (boy) she changes the kanji of “shi” or “子 (child)” into “shi” “死” which makes it sound the same but would roughly mean “death to boys”). She shows an amusing sense of humility when complimented by other girls, but her expression instantly dies off when praised by a boy. She’s conditioned to reflexively throw boys when touched. While training, she turns off her brain’s limiter and gives out a loud shout for her fighting spirit, so she’s always loud.

Kirumi Tojo (CV: Kikuko Inoue) – Ultimate Maid

A super high school student with smarts and athleticism. She worked part-time as a maid, and gained a reputation for being able to complete every request as perfectly as possible. She was even selected as a bodyguard for the head of state in the past; however, she says that even she couldn’t accept the request of destroying the nation. Even though she’s confined as the others, her mindset to work for others hasn’t changed at all, and you’ll see her prep food, clean, and do other housekeeping work. She’s an elegant, calm, and mature girl.

Maki Harukawa (CV: Maaya Sakamoto) – Ultimate Caregiver (Nursery Teacher)

She never chose the path of a nursery teacher, but she grew up in an orphanage and was made to help take care of children, and as a result, was given the title of “Ultimate Caregiver.” She’s not great at taking care of others, isn’t friendly, and doesn’t even like kids, but for some reason they all end up loving her. She might look cute, but Maki isn’t sociable, and she’s a pretty hateful person who isn’t that cooperative. She doesn’t talk much and speaks bluntly. She’s not much of a hard worker, but she’s self-composed.

Monofannie (CV: Koichi Yamadera)

The only female of the Monokumas. She doesn’t like grotesque things, and she can be considerate. She tries to calm things down when the Monokuma Cubs fight amongst themselves, but usually ends up fighting with them. You’ll see her be cute by suggesting rock-paper-scissors instead of killing, and randomly falling asleep.

Bonus Goodies:
Spike Chunsoft has announced that Danganronpa v3's bonus mode will bring back all Characters from the original Hope's peak series.

The bonus mode is basically a “what if” story featuring characters from the Hope’s Peak Academy series, with various scenarios involving the gifted prisoners.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
