This is the first time in a while I haven't been fully up to date on the Oscar movies before the ceremony. The only one of the big ones I've seen is Promising Young Woman. Kind of a bummer to be so out of the loop.

That being said, I'm really surprised the Academy didn't go with Chadwick Boseman. You can't even use the excuse with Hopkins that he's never won before and this is him being awarded for other projects.
