I'd definitely like to see "Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru to Ruka no Fushigina Fushigina Kagi" and the new Harvest Moon dumped! Kirby would have also been good but I got impatient and bought that already :P

Also, http://3ds.essh.co/ says Yoshi's New Island has been dumped, but I thought it wasn't out until the 14th :S

The purpose of this thread isn't so people can suggest future games to be dumped. It's just to let people know when games are dumped. Until MT-card and/or Gateway have their game card dump features widespread, chances are it'll only be the people in these underground scenes that will be doing the dumping.

Also, many games, movies, albums, etc. are dumped before their official release.

3DS-0293 - Happy_Feet_Two_EUR_3DS-VENOM - after completing game once I've been trying to get all the gold coins. On the level 3.4 game crashes every time I try to break an ice pillar. It freezes and pops up the message, that an error has appeared and I have to restart 3DS (with possibility of save's lost). After getting into GW mode (the last beta one) I am suprised to see, that my progress has been recorded ;P

have you tried formating the micro sd card and rewriting the rom back to it? had a similar issue with another game quite a while back... every time I entered a specific location, game crashed... formated the card and wrote the image back to it and then it all worked, looks lime some data on it got corrupted

I'll try it. To be sure I haven't reformatted sd lately. Just rewrote it 2 days ago.

Reformatted - still freezes :( Anyway I'm not going to finish it on 100%.

if someone could test a 32GBit game and report back that would be great
as they dump to the SD i dont think they will dump
due to the File size limit of the SD card

Found this post from Snailface...

Interesting, when you backup a large game (4GB), it splits the file into two 2GB parts with extensions .3D0 and .3D1

GW also patches the game file at 0x1200 (16 bytes - hash data maybe) and 0x1240 (8 bytes - id data maybe). In both places, the normal internet release has FF's.

Btw, I tried creating a backup of a microSD with a raw game on it - just for fun.
That was before I updated the fpga.
It was able to read the serial, but failed to read any game data.
It created 8 2GB files on the SD (.3D0 - .3D7) => 128Gbit / 16GB.

strange they would add some data
but maybe its for the Gateway
its only added to the header which is in plain text
making me think this is them personally adding it as other items (e.g Save tool and Datel) dump the full header when connected to the PC and they match the rom dumps

if there adding Data to the header is does mean that they arnt scene dumps and all these ones appearing today done by it should be nuked LOL

at first glance on my Pokemon X save file (which is all FFs),
I come to the conclusion that the save is saved onto the rom.

Like how nand saves are done. (though I thought it was strange how I still have a save file in my 3ds-sd)

PS: I'm annoyed because KIRIN's X torrent ain't running...

From the gateway release info:

If you notice any slight differences with existing dumps out there, you might be correct. This is because our dumps are more thorough than any “scene” dumps currently out there. Again, future proofing our product for what’s yet to come!

So they are claiming they are dumping info that is being skipped by scene dumpers. It could of course be a lie and could be added by the dumper, but a similar thing happened with DS roms back in the day, where parts of the header were going undumped, and correct dumps only started to be made later on.

lol it is a lie as mentioned above
the games are signed, so if any data was missing or wrong, they just wouldnt play (hence why we cannot edit or patch anything)

they added data to the header in the non checked padding area just to make it look different
meaning all the games dumped with it are not clean rips

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
