First, I just started with Wii-U but I know I want all the game data in 1 file such as a .wud or .iso. I have various images that have "eShop" or "Loadline" in their descriptions and they are directory dumps. This invites trouble so I want to turn those into a single file, but how? I'm hoping there is a simple cli program that I can use because I have so many.

What is a Wii-U iso? I thought I'd just forget this and create a iso with mkisofs but Cemu says it's an unkown type. Are Wii-U iso's not really iso or am I'm doing something wrong? I tried a "eShop" game, but no love.

./mkisofs -D -J -iso-level 3 -max-iso9660-filenames -joliet-long -allow-leading-dots -ldots -N -relaxed-filenames -no-iso-translate -allow-lowercase -allow-multidot -o ".\castle_eshop.iso" ".\CastleStorm_eShop"

I am technically violating the ISO9660 spec with a few of those options, but not beyond rationalization (everything opens the resulting image and it mounts fine). I have no idea what Cemu considers a ".iso".

tldr: Not worth it; use zip or tar or anything really.

To follow up, it _appears_ there is a tool in the SDK that does this (inside .\cafe_sdk\system\bin\tool\mastering\) but I've opted out of using it. I'm just going to keep using mount and use iso, zip, tar or whatever.

I've decided to _NOT_ use the SDK tool because:

1. It's completely unique to whatever parameters I set.

There is no "2". Without some kind of known identity it would be a crap shoot to .dat these things. Sadly, the only thing I can think of is to run hashes against ALL files. That's kind of nuts considering how many files can be in these things, but at this point it appears to hash everything or just leave these off of any form of .dat identification now and forever.

.wud files are true 1:1 copy of the WiiU's retail disc.
- Used for CEMU emulator only.
- .wud file can be decrypted, leaving you with WUP format files.

eShop dumps should be in WUP format (.app/.h3/title.* files)
- WUP installer is needed to install on your WiiU console.
- Requires CFW to install a play.
- WUP can be decrypted into Loadiine format.

Loadiine dumps are decrypted WUP format (code/content/meta folders).
- Can be played in CEMU emulator and Loadiine GX2 homebrew app on the WiiU.

.wud is like an ISO file which can only be used with CEMU as mentioned above.

NO you cannot convert eShop/Loadiine dumps to .wud format.
