Do you use a password manager?

I use Bitwarden, ever since LastPass announced the fee to use it in multiple devices. I recommend everyone to use a password manager and not reuse passwords.

Hacking Nintendont stuck on checking fs..

I tried using Nintendon't with the app and the game in the same SD card, and it froze while "Checking FS" But then I tried using the app in an SD card, and the game in a USB drive, and it worked. Maybe that's it?

Gaming Are these Pokemon GBA games fake or real?

The European Nintendo seal of quality is circular, while the American one is oval. However, since the GBA wasn't region-locked, maybe some games were changed and ended up in the other region, I don't really know... EDIT: Check this site, it should help...

    ROM Hack Identifying save files

You might be able to figure some of them out by the file size, or by modification date. Though the recovery program probably overwrites the modification date... Well, there are 15511210043330985984000000 possible combinations, so you can't guess which are which either randomly... you can always...

Programm for resizing "many" pics ?

IrfanView does that. Try opening the IrfanView - Thumbnails program. Find your pic, then go to File > Start batch dialog with selected files... and check the Advanced options. Then click Advanced and adjust the settings to your liking. Then click Start Batch and wait :) This is the quickest...

    Games Check Off List Online?

GameFAQs has a "My Games" section that works really well for this, at least for me. It lets you choose which version you bought (EU, US, JAP), check if you've beaten the game, rate it, and has both retail and download games listed.

Hacking GameCube controller on Wii Menu?

Some USB loaders, like USB Loader GX, have a menu that lets you run channels from the NAND, or even the disc inside the drive, and all of them support GameCube controllers. If you don't mind to use them instead of the original Wii menu, that might work. Otherwise, I don't think there is a hack...

Hardware Volume adjust on 3DS XL - disappointed it's a slider

I prefer sliders too. The buttons only give us 6 or so levels of volume, which sometimes doesn't feel enough. I didn't like the DS's slider because it was too small, but all the other sliders were good. I like the 3DS one.

Hacking Creating Backups - Clean Rip or Backup Loader?

I think USB Loader GX has a setting that lets you choose if you want to copy everything or only the game partition (leaving the update partition aside). I don't know is there's any difference between the "copy all" setting and the Clean Rip you mentioned, but I thought I'd leave this detail here.

Hacking How the 3ds handles compatability mode

Indeed, it's the same as a DSi, but it still recognizes the HOME button, which brings up a menu in which you can return to the Home menu (exit the DSi mode for good) or change the back-light.

Hacking How do i save game progress?

I think the game lets you save only when you beat a boss. I could be confusing it with NSMB on the DS though... but anyway, it's not automatic.

Gaming I have a theory on wiping a permanent save..

I know Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D is one of them.

Hardware How long till you get used to playing in 3d ?

Nope, it actually makes you SLIGHTLY un-cross them, since the 3D is mostly about more depth (like the screen was a box and you were looking inside). Of course, it depends on what is being shown on screen. If done in a certain way (pop out 3D) it will make you slightly cross them) But it...

Hardware Why aren't we allowed to see the 3DS demos on action from vid?

Im sure Nintendo will bet HARD on showing the 3DS on stands. It's the only way to show its capabilities. Also, the demos were NOT prerendered. They were not playable, but you could look around with the analog pad. Those were actual polygons running on the 3DS, not a prerendered video. But yeah...

Hardware Why aren't we allowed to see the 3DS demos on action from vid?

If they show it, some ignorant people will claim the 3D effect isn't all that amazing, when they saw it on a regular 2D screen that cannot show the 3D component. I guess that's why there is no footage.

Hacking Emulation and homebrew on 3DS

(didn't read the whole thread so someone might've said this already) There is a huge difference between 2D games (2D sprites) and 3D games (3D models with polygons and all that) The whole thing about 3D is giving you two different perspectives of a scene. And that means having parallax and...

    Hardware Wii Bluetooth?

I think it was known the Wiimotes use Bluetooth even before they were released. Anyway, it must be hard to hack the Wii's Bluetooth receptor, since no one has ever bothered to make apps that use it :/ What this allows, though, is to connect the Wiimote to other things, like a computer, like...

Hardware New screen resolution and its consequences

They could use the 3D slider to do the same as the LR buttons for GB games on GBA. Full 3D would make the screen stretch to fit. No 3D would make it 1:1. They can't use 3D on backwards compatibility anyway, unless there are DS games with special 3DS features, like some DS games did with DSi. Or...

Gaming Is Resident Evil a prerendered video with camera controls?

There are collision detections, input detections, AI... there's a lot more going on playable. But yes, it shouldn't affect the graphics capability too much.
