Testing for pad damage on a Pokemon Gold board.
I'm in the midst of trying to revive my save of pokemon gold from a few months ago, and I've got reason to believe that there's an issue with the pads on the PCB that you're supposed to solder the tabs to. Ok so I tried removing some of the solder on the chip, since the original job I did was actually pretty sloppy, and the good news is it doesn't shut my console down anymore. The bad news is that my console isn't reading it at all and cleaning the pins with alcohol didn't help, so ig I killed it?- Ralph367

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
