Repairing an old rgh console that has been desoldered

I have a few questions about some consoles that I recently purchased. I bought a lot of "broken" 360 systems to repair. So far I have ran into a few that look like the mod chip was cut out of them and the wires left behind and others desoldered. My main question is, is there any way to salvage a...

Hacking Is softmod different for imported vita?

Picked up a pch-2000 vita today and was told from the game shop that its an import. Main difference I was told by the shop is that as far as menu items are concerned, O is used instead of X, and of course the ability to play imported games. Going to try softmodding it soon, so wanted to know if...

Hacking Best hardware for trinity rgh?

I have had another rgh console for years, but I have been wanting to attempt my own for some time. I had a 360 given to me which is a slim trinity and it has just been sitting on a shelf. So I am trying to find out what the current best options are for the hardware to do an rgh. The videos I...

I havent used my switch in awhile and decided to dust it off. It is currently on 9.1.0|AMS 0.10.2|S . I have been looking into going to 10.2.0. Hacking PS3 Phat 4.82 problems after CFW

I recently picked up a cheap Phat system with 4.82 on it. Spent all night looking at tutorials and getting everything done. I ended up going with a version that "I believe" downgraded me from 4.82 to 4.81 after installing the CFW. Everything went pretty smooth, but now I am having an issue where...

I know this has been asked a few times before, but I need more clarification that ive been able to search for. I am wanting to update to 5.5.2 so that I can play botw. Hacking What is the current preferred method on 5.5.1

Just got a wii u last night and it is on 5.5.1. From what I am reading, it is preferable to use 5.5.1, but also on haxchi it says I need to go buy a game. So, do I need to update to 5.5.2 so that I can get into the store and buy a game or is it better to use the browser method? Just trying to...

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
