    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Woohoo! :grog: I hope everyone can appreciate the new menu navigation as well. GX and RX are finally at a point where navigating in and out of the menus is as intuitive as I always hoped. Making a new save state is now as simple as opening the menu, mashing A, then mashing B once it's made to...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

A new pull request is up on RX that implements support for the new format of .cht file (and cheat title text scrolling when they're too long!): https://github.com/niuus/Snes9xRX/pull/64

It doesn't appear to be an image overlay, it's a programmatically generated effect. See the RenderTVMode function here: https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/Snes9xTX/blob/84bd33854c69c9e5a61a85d7f11961eaa3d81426/source/filter.cpp

    Homebrew Snes9xGX-Mushroom

I think you can accomplish this by launching a game, opening the menu, then selecting the battery icon of the controller you want to change port of with the wiimote cursor. This is definitely a needlessly obscure feature, seeing as you can't even access it with any other controller besides the...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Ok, so I figured out what was going on with Cheats - It's kind of a mess lol. First off, the person reporting that bug on GX's github was completely wrong, it has nothing to do with equals signs or quotes in the cheats. Around Snes9x 1.56, they implemented a new form of human readable .cht...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

I'm planning to take a stab at fixing the Cheats menu in Snes9xGX (and the RX/TX forks by extension). I tried making a .CHT file with the current Snes9x on PC and brought it over to the latest GX, and the cheats menu seemed to be entirely unusable. It looks like it's reading the file in...

A pull request for Mouse support in port 2 is now up! https://github.com/niuus/Snes9xRX/pull/61 Big thanks to @niuus for the extensive testing of the feature before going live. I also have a PR for the Mouse updates as well as the menu navigation improvements pending on the GX upstream right now.

Gotcha - I was under the impression it was mistakenly left out under the All Enabled option, but that makes sense! That's a good idea to account for the wiimote if Home is disabled, I might update that on GX too at some point to accommodate it. What is even going on here... nobody owes you...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Oops, I forgot to specify to try the 1+2+Plus combo when "Default (All Enabled)" is set. The 1+2+Plus looks like it's enabled only when the specific option for it is set. When left at Default (All Enabled) it looks like that one is missing

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Congrats on the release! I see that you modified the Menu Toggle to be A+B+Start / 1+2+Plus instead of L+R+Start, but a quick look at the code makes me think that the 1+2+Plus combo isn't set up to work. I could be mistaken though. Can anyone test the 1+2+Plus combo on a wiimote when that...

    To quote @niuus from the RX thread: @Tanooki16 I think this would be resolved by changing satellaviewBtn.ResetState(); in menu.cpp to satellaviewBtn.SetState(STATE_SELECTED);

No, I'm just a contributor. To answer your question from earlier, here's how I see the differences of GX/RX/TX (anyone please correct me if I get something wrong): GX - The parent repo which is based on the latest Snes9x core and is compiled with the latest devkitPPC and libraries. Is most...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

This is why I'm trying to make all my new code updates to GX. There's a lot of features floating between the various forks that either haven't been committed to the parent repo, or only existed on other forks or in unmerged pull requests. By committing to GX first it gives it a central place...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Oh cool, I actually abandoned the navigation PR in the RX repo since I was cherrypicking some of the other changes from there to make on GX. I'm hoping to introduce the navigation updates to GX (and FCEUGX) since they make such a huge difference. My messages are open if you want to discuss...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

I've been making some new updates to the GX branch if you're interested in pulling those into RX @niuus . So far, I pushed a bugfix for the Hide SRAM feature and added a dedicated credits button on the main menu settings (now the credits can finally be accessible with controllers besides the...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the libraries it's compiled against. GX is compiled against the latest devkitPPC/libogc whereas RX is using older versions. I've been entertaining the idea of making a stripped down "lite" version of GX/RX that removes a bunch of extra features from the...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Snes9xGX just released a new version for the first time in over a year! Many of the changes were brought over from RX. https://github.com/dborth/snes9xgx/releases/tag/4.5.3 Has there been any consensus on those UI changes I put up a pull request for a few weeks ago? I can make adjustments to...
