    ROM Hack GBC VC cheats

What options are there for cheating or save editing on GBC VC games? To name an obvious example, Nintendo never distributed Mew to the 3DS VC in my country. If I'm going to have one I'd prefer as legal as it can be.

    Homebrew N3DS arcade emulators.

What's the best way to go about arcade games on N3DS? And which system boards/platforms can I expect to run well? Besides obvious hits like Donkey Kong or TMNT, it'd be cool to see less ordinary titles perfected. Diehard fans and their Cave shooters or whatever. I'm out of the loop!

Homebrew F-Zero Climax GBA: picture off-center.

I'm trying to play injected F-Zero Climax (on USA region N3DS XL), but the game screen is glaringly misaligned. It wraps around so the top row of pixels displays on the bottom. I don't think I've heard of people encountering this before with GBA VC. How can this be fixed?

Misc Nintendo Zone now only available in New York City

Nintendo recently updated their website, with no prior notice, to imply the LAST remaining Nintendo Zone in the United States is at their New York store. Is this true? I have little chance to find out for myself...

Hardware 64GB Mirroring Memory Stick XC-HG Duo MS-PX64

Anybody know for certain whether this Memory Stick was officially released? I've called it vaporware before, but we're looking at convincing details right on Sony's website. While the price of Memory Sticks (relative to MicroSD adapters) makes the notion of PSP having a 1st party 64GB storage...

Gaming Valkyria Chronicles 3 save data bonuses

I was looking around for info on this content, but the file download to speed up the unlocking seems to be gone. Anybody here have them? https://valkyriachronicles3.wordpress.com/2011/05/07/unlocking-extra-dlc-content/

Hacking NTSC Wii: composite & s-video color encoding at 50hz

This is a little something I haven't seen explained well. I know NTSC Gamecube outputs 50hz in the wrong colors (due to lack of proper PAL encoding). What about NTSC Wii? Is 50hz mode the same as Gamecube and simply fixed by using component, default the video automatically to PAL color, or...

    Gaming Firmware language override

Do any flash carts, custom firmware, or the like allow you force the language on original DS games? Or is there a general way to patch roms for it? Since newer systems such as DSi and 3DS have fewer language settings, content becomes normally inaccessible to certain games.

Gaming Usable "hidden" language mode list

Is there a list gathered in one place, of the Wii or Gamecube games with language detection inaccessible on their own region console? If not, these pages have info to start on. http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Wii_Region_Patcher_Compatibility_List:_NTSC-J...

ROM Hack Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones, transfer data menu

I've been asking around. Anyone figured out how to enter FE8's version of the menu named "Transfer Data" in Blazing Sword? The menu button icon is loaded into VRAM. And I assume it was unlocked by the Japan-only events, but don't have proof of its involvement in that.

GCN Qoob US & JPN force 480p compatibility list

Most information online about forcing 480p with Qoob, is PAL which may be different. Anyone tried various NTSC games? Thus far I've had mixed results. Feel free to offer fixes if they exist or correct/add to the list. USA: Batman Rise of Sin Tzu = crash Blood Omen 2 = crash Bomberman Generation...

Hacking Force NTSC games to 50hz on an NTSC Wii

I know all about its pointlessness. But for curiosity's sake... What's the best way to do this, and any idea of the game compatibility? US Xenoblade retail in Gecko OS just remained 60hz. Haven't tried much of its settings or other games/loaders.

ROM Hack iQue ver Super Mario 64 DS & New Super Mario Bros region lock

I've been adding various roms to supercard dstwo. In the process I discovered it runs three of the five Chinese games on my US ds lite. Despite supposely not being capable. (Yoshi Touch & Go, Wario Ware Touched, Polarium) Yet Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros stop at the "only for ique...

Hacking Original GC imports via the disc channel?

Has this been achieved? I don't really know where to look. There doesn't appear to be much interest in doing so. I have a US Wii and my HDTV does accept PAL (not sure if the game was PAL50 or PAL60, but a backup of Wii Chess looked fine enough). The game I'm looking to import is Nintendo...

    Hacking Save file sizes

You know how the recent slot 2 supercard patcher versions create 512KB save files for most games, right? Does anyone know whether trimming them to the size a specific game normally uses works fine? If so, is there an easy way to do it? I know saves created by the older patchers still work when...

    Hacking Wii #0158 F-Zero X (USA): fake?

Not sure if I'm in the right section, and my previous mention of it wasn't clear. But I'd like to ask for a big favor. I suspect F-Zero_X_N64_VC_USA_Wii-NumbNutz, is fake. May someone please confirm? Look at the number of blocks the NFO says it takes. Way larger than the real shop channel...

ROM Hack Final Fantasy IV: lowering difficulty?

While I may not be a romhacker... I'm fed up enough to ask. How feasible is it, to hack the game so it'll be easier? This is the most difficult FF4 version they've ever released. Something which, as a purist in such regards, completely infuriates me. Thanks.

    Treats

I can has cheezburger? The Rock Haruhi finds the lack of snacks boring. The GBAtemp server is not tasty. Needs more crunch. Oh no. Just ate a GBA by mistake. Owww!

    Testing

Seeing how the feature works. Isn't my usual location to blog at, but I'm not worried about that. As always... Digging in the PS2 bargain bins for used games is cool. I'm liking Front Mission 4. Let's not forget the Bonemonkey support either.
