    there is no simple answer but from what i know that ds exploit carries the payload and executes it then affects the launcher so it could be from just launching the ds exploit aswell but so far what we know it might trigger if checksum fails on the sd card for the launcher or is modified that...

    I did received an email from gateway team assuring me that 2.0b2 is safe which kinda resembles the email posted but it has a much nicer tone and they will fix the console if there anything happens because they care :) Just wanted to put that out there (ps i am not a chinese gangster or a fanboy...

    nothing it just doesnt show the emunand after u do the ds profile inside just shows the gateway cart in normal mode

    that link isnt allowed, but you can download any of gateway's old firmware by changing the firmware version in the latest firmware link like replace 2.0b2 with 2.0b1 or 1.2 (after the _)

    I have sadly gone back to 1.2 :( until this mess is sorted out either way.

    it a 6.25% chance it happens if the sd card fails to meet the checksum and the brick code would activate and seems to be the case with at least 2 users reported with images.

    just turn off your device, remove your sd card and replace the launcher.dat from earlier version than 2.0b :)

    go to gateway's website, find the link for the latest firmware, change the version number to the one you want 2.0b1

    its not really a theory but there is an actual code that bricks your device check three post or earlier for the code link

    so there is 6.25% chance of this happening, i dont see in the code where it says it occurs on a 'certain time' hmm is it just by booting up you can trigger it ?

    Maybe we just need a new thread with only post about people who have been bricked with their info and possible solutions if any or not. These threads are getting out of hand with people accusing each other and then trolling back and forth.

    So Far the majority of the cases reported are from other carts than gateway using a modified launcher, but this is the first person actually providing info on gateway 3ds cart causing bricking. Regardless of people reporting or the frequency, there is a clear danger as reported by normatt...

    can anyone confirm the kill code in gateway's launcher also appears in b1 as well ? or atm its just it b2 only ?
