    Hacking RetroGameFan Updates/Releases

Hello. I followed the steps for installing ysmenu on an R4SDHC. I tried launching it, but all I get is a white screen and a red folder icon with a question mark and "Menu" written in it. There's no error code for me to look up.

Hacking Slot 2 card with most RAM?

I don't want to use the gba carts to play gba games. I am using them as extra RAM so that I can play DS games. Quake 2 requires allot of ram, so it has me put a slot 2 cart in so that it can utalilze the RAM from that cart. I don't care what the cart does, I just want the one with the most RAM...

Hacking In need of new flashcart

DSTwo is the way to go. By far the best. The price is steep, but you get what you pay for. Around $40 for the thing. It's all worth it when you discover those homebrews and ports... God like fun.

1: To start of get the R4, and if you really like that, then upgrade the the more expensive, yet better, DSTwo Supercard. that's all I got... :P

Hacking Slot 2 card with most RAM?

I want to know which slot 2 card for the DS has the most available ram. I've heard that the Browser Expansion has a good amount. I've also heard that the EZFlash IV, and the 3in1 have good RAM too. But I can't find any exact statistics on them. Do you know which slot 2 card out there has the...

    Homebrew Strife (game) for DS?

I had no idea it was in WAD form. But that still leaves me with a problem. Because before I actually tried to exchange the WAD for Doom. But it didn't work. I tried renaming the new wad as the default wad, but to no avail. So I guess my new question would be: How do I change WADs for Doom DS?

    Homebrew Strife (game) for DS?

Google, yet again, has failed me. I have a growing collection of FPS games. Doom Quake Quake 2 (Which uses two flash carts (DS and GBA) for the RAM required to play it, so cool.) and now I want to add Strife. It seems like a game that would easily play on a DS. Anyone have any leads on where I...

Homebrew Doom, can I play other WADs? If so, how?

I have the DOOM port on my DS, there is a folder that contains the main WAD file, and I'm wondering if it is possible to play other WAD files. I've attempted to place other WAD files in there, and even rename some, but to no avail, and Google has failed me. I'de appreciate any insight you might...

Homebrew Great Homebrews and/or Homebrew Websites

I've got a decent collection of homebrew games on my DS, but I'm wondering if you guys know of any great homebrews or ports that are out there, or good websites with a database of homebrew games. I have searched around, but I cannot find a conclusive list of good homebrew games. EDIT: I failed...

Star Wars Dark Forces on GBA or NDS?

Has anyone heard of the game Star Wars: Dark Forces being ported to the GBA or DS? I don't see much of a file size difference between it, and DOOM II which runs fine on the GBA. So I don't see why it couldn't run on the GBA let alone the DS. But I've been around the internet and haven't found...

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

Ahh, thank you very much, this is very useful. I guess I will be using the EZF IV for GBA, and the DSTWO, sense I don't have a problem raking out a few more bucks. But I will start with the R4iDSN, and see how it works.

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

I guess I'll have to explain the context of what I am doing in order to understand where I'm going with my questions. I am creating a gaming device called the Gameboy Nexus. It will be a custom device that will have the hardware of a DS lite. It will play DS, GBA, GBC, GB, and SNES...

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

Hmm... It sounds to me, for the sake of simplicity, and so that I don't have to reduce quality by using emulators, that I should just use both the EZF4 and the EZF5i for their respective games.

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

Would this work the other way around? If I bought an EZFlash for the DS, and put gba games on it, could I play them? Btw, thanks for all the info it really helps. But after reading it all, I think I might be better off investing in a DS flash cart.

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

Sorry. I'm kind of a noob. What is a slot 1 card/pass me card? I've heard this term thrown around a bit, but I don't quite understand. EDIT: Sorry, I did my own research, and figured it out on my own. So basically it's an adapter?

Hacking Can EZFlash IV play DS games on DS/ DS Lite?

I'm sure you'v had to answer this before, but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for in the forums. so... I have an EZFlash IV (the one that goes in the GBA, encase there is another version I am not aware of.) I'm thinking of getting a DS Lite. I was wondering, if I put DS .roms on...

    Hardware Good GBA mods?

Also, just as a note. If the mod takes up allot of space, it doesn't matter, because I am making a custom shell to contain all of the hardware, so I have quite a bit of space to work with.

    Hardware Good GBA mods?

Yeah, I am already going to add game-cube controls to it. So that should be interesting. I have been searching around for a joystick mod. I wan't to replace the D-Pad with a joystick (aka thumb-stick.) like on a game-cube controller. I haven't been able to find anything online.

    Hardware Good GBA mods?

I'm working on a custom GBA project. And I wan't do modify it with the coolest, funnest, and most useful mods out there. The only mods I can find out there is the back light, (done) And that's about it.... :P So just post any mod you can think of for the GBA, it would help me out allot...

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid
