    Homebrew WIP GZDoom for Switch

It's a Unity port. https://twitter.com/noteinso/status/1154809291641151488 What the hell is this?

Hacking Discussion SX EmuNAND is not real EmuNAND.

I don't understand why they brought up that dedicating 32GB on an SD card to EmuNAND is wasteful, then proceeded to showcase that the Switch filesystem can be resized and repartitioned in the same breath. If you're incredibly desperate for storage space, you could fit the entire filesystem into...

Hacking Discussion Banned Users: eShop is Still Usable on a Banned Switch (Somehow)

If you're banned, you can at least still download game and system updates. If you get superbanned, you can't do even that.

Hacking RELEASE [Official] ReiNX thread [DEAD]

Rather not stir up any more drama than there is already, but I think it'd be fair to everyone to credit SciresM and naehrwert in here for Atmosphere and Hekate/hwinit respectively. With that said, it's a nice change of pace to see a simplified CFW solution. Not that it matters from a complete...

    Homebrew RELEASE sys-netcheat - Simple open-source cheat-engine.

This might not be very useful to you if a system module and a command line feel too complicated for you.

    Homebrew WIP FreeShopNX

I assume the intention was to patch remote ns:am2 calls to use the substitute certificate, but people started using it before that could come to fruition.

    Homebrew RELEASE sys-netcheat - Simple open-source cheat-engine.

Simple, straightforward and works like a charm. Thanks for your work! Something that'd be extremely useful for memory editing purposes is the ability to scan addresses for unknown initial values and value increases/decreases in rescans?

Hacking Suggestion A proper converter from XCI to NSP

Nintendo Labo, I guess. But why the hell would you want to pirate Labo?

Hacking Discussion Cracked SX OS recovery

Just so the same mistake doesn't get repeated twice in the future, Hekate can dump all partitions without dumping USER, which massively cuts down the time required to make a backup. The absolute minimum you should have backed up in multiple places is PRODINFO, PRODINFOF, and the Repair BCPKG2...

    ROM Hack Freeshop for Switch?

When registering a ticket, yes. The actual download is processed by ns:am, and FreeShopNX doesn't patch the client certificate being used in that process. It's still using your console's certificate.

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

At this point, anything could happen, really. Nintendo's got their knickers in a real tangle about this whole business, I wouldn't even be surprised if they decided to roll out full bans to anyone using homebrew in any degree.

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

For now, yeah. Personally, I believe there's also the possibility that making invalid requests (i.e. CDN probing, as SciresM and Shinyquagsire demonstrated) is what's flagging people for the let's-call-them Überbans. The number of actual reported cases is actually much, much lower than one would...

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

FreeShopNX requires a certificate and a fake ticket to operate, yes, but said certificate isn't actually used during downloads. One presumes this functionality was intended to be implemented - go figure - some time during development. Not like that stopped people from distributing builds of it...

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

I'm under the impression that FreeShopNX only uses the spoofed certificate for registering tickets, and not during the download process, which is where it really matters. Of course, if there's evidence to the contrary, I'll take it.

Hacking Discussion Banned Users: eShop is Still Usable on a Banned Switch (Somehow)

If you lose access to your Nintendo Account's link to the console, you won't be able to use the Update Download Progress feature anymore, and should it ever be possible to redownload titles without using external tools, you'll lose access to that as well. It's not the most important of features...

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

Device certificates are technically essential to the system's networking model, so most likely not.

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

Atum uses seperate servers for dispatching system updates, game updates, DLC, and games. If they wanted to keep collateral to a minimum, they would've implemented rights checking and only applied bans to the DLC and game services. This wasn't done preventatively, this was done punitively.

    Hacking N fixed CDNSP?

https://github.com/AnalogMan151/FreeShopNX/blob/master/Sources/UI.h#L191 Unless ns:am uses the certificate registered in the ticket, it's definitely using your device's own certificate.

Hacking Discussion Nintendo banning from CDN

The only recorded instances of 2137-7403 ever appearing were back before 3rd of March 2017, when people attempted to connect online before the console's launch. Oh dear.

    Hacking N fixed CDNSP?

Is it possible that FreeShopNX uses your console's real certificate during the download process? If so, that'd explain a lot.
