as the title says, i see that option in my A9LH and people say if a have a n3ds to enable it with clock=L2
i know that native N3ds clocks and not overclock but dose this impact 3ds battery?

You should set this to Clock+L2 for the best performance, but only on New 3DS of course. If you have O3DS, leave this alone. Personally, I have had at least 4 or 5 hours of gameplay on this setting, so I wouldn't worry much about it.

Wait so this is on by default on S/M even if it's disabled on Luma options? I was thinking about whether I should turn it on for this game but if it's on by default I guess it makes no difference ..

Why I ask? Well, dual-battles have been a bit frame-y depending on the background and was hoping using this option would fix it but again, if it's on by default then wtf .. N3DS can't handle Pokemon Moon?

@Distrance, Pokemon Moon is a port of the Switch version. They didn't reduce the graphics though, and it consequently apparently has issues sometimes.
@OP Someone on Reddit measured it once, it was about 5-15% reduced battery, depending on game
@Distrance True, but if you set it to Clock only, it'll disable L2 even if the game needs it.
