Okay, but just know that the Wi-Fi checker has been updated in Ultra Sun/Moon.

Unsure if Pokémon outside of the current GEN' can be used in our tournament format.

Now I could be mistaken, but it make be a good idea to request some Pokémon caught from S/M/US/UM here :

I despise flat battles and don't really have a team ready for flat double battles, but I guess count me in... Too lazy to get my FC, so I'll post it later. Can't decide if I should troll a bit (eg: monotype team with really weird sets) during the battles or if this will be a serious battle tournament.

Are transferred mons from gen 1 and 2 banned btw? Want that to be clear because in VGC they are allowed despite the "if not caught/hatched in S/M/US/UM" line.

PS: You can try using PGL to make friendly competitions for such things btw.

Well this is our first tournament of the year...so think of it more of a trial-base thing.

It's okay to be competitive and do make sure you learn from the experience.

Yes, as long as your Pokémon are compatible with the rules you are fine (will be a good idea to test this before the end of the month)

Also, have not messed around with the PGL too much outside of game sync.

all of my current team was caught in gen 7
my glaceon was an eevee from my red cart (transfered up using 3rd party hardware) so I had to use pksm to make a dupe of it thats caught in gen 7

Okay, as long as your team passed the online checks they should be fine.

Do make sure to test your team by battle a random person online with these rules before the end of the month.

I highly doubt I'll run into anything interesting or unique, as I have at least 5 different variations of sets for every Pokemon in existence (different moves, stats, items, etc.), so I've tried almost every possible combination, with only notable exception being Farfetch'd with Final Gambit and First Impression (too lazy to breed one). Doubt I'll be any better, just in for the fun. Already beating Ubers with stuff like Dedenne and Ponyta, so not exactly much room for improvement if you ask me

Btw, are special move Pokemon allowed? If we allow transfer, then stuff like Cotton Guard Banette from gen 3 can be transferred, so are such things allowed?

It's all good, that is why we are having this friendly competition.

More or less to see who can come up with the best team combination.

But with your level of experience, it sounds like you should have no problems with this tournament structure.

Not talking about hacked mons, just rare events, like Pokemon with moves they normally don't get. For example, a favorite of mine is that Sludge Bomb Zoroark event from ORAS and the aforementioned Cotton Guard Banette (mega, max health, max sp.def. with Toxic, Cotton Guard, Sucker Punch and Drain Punch/Rest). I'll refrain from stall as I hate it myself, but I'll bring some really quirky sets, especially if older Pokemon are allowed

Round posting will be posted Wednesday afternoon/evening

And you are welcome to start battling at that point.

If you win your match, you get 1-Victory point

Apologies, but I can't make it, exam season is more hectic than I though (just saw new schedule). Is it too big a problem to leave me out? Will join next time you host a tournament.

Hmm...with two entrants having to drop I am think about making this a pure round-robin tournament.

More or less have everyone battle everyone else in one match (best 2 out of 3)

And whoever wins the most matches is the champion/winner of this tournament.

That way, if everyone can agree upon a time...we can wrap up the tournament by the weekend.

With that said, you all are welcome to reply with feedback.
