Hi,

i didn‘t use my Wii für many years now and i want to reset it completely so that everything is like it was when the console got out of factory.

The actually installed Version is 4.3E if i remember it correctly)
After that i want to install the latest Version of the most important hacks so i can play my Wii games via an USB Loader or via a Network Share if that‘s possible.

So can anyone help me achieving this goal?

The console i a very old one, it has a Chip in it to play burned games and if i remember right the hack was installed in boot2. This is one thing i want to redo after the restore because it makes the console unbrickable no matter what you do :)

I don‘t have a NAND Dump because bought the console used and the person didn‘t send me one.
Also i don‘t have the sd card whick was used after the hack but think that souldn‘t be a problem because i want to reset all and reinstall it :)

So can someone guide me through the whole thing of restoring to factory defaults and then installing the hack and usb loader? Or is there a guide showing how to do it?
I found one but it‘s only how to hack the console not how to reset it completely moletly so every modification is removed before doing the exploit.

Thanks in advice to everyone helping me to achieve this goal :)

Hello there.

To acomplish what you want there is no real need to factory reset the console. The most easy solutions for you would be either modmii or Setmiiup, since you basically drop them a syscheck(a hombrew that lists your system status) report and they find whats needed to be updated, generates a guide based out of that.

Anyway your first move should be to grab a bootmii backup of your nand. That is for you to fallback to incase you screw up.
USBloading works and is the recommended solution to use. Networkshare, I don't think so, atleast not that I know of.

No matter what guide you follow, always understand why you're doing it, don't randomly install or uninstall things.

Hope I helped you.

Ok thanks for that :)

There was so time a problem that the console was slow or programs hung up on launch so i wanted to reset all hacks and then start with a clean console.

So is it in any way possible to reset the modified cios/ios to the stock one and delete the additional so the wii acts like i unboxed it for the first time?

Programs as in System menu programs? Or Homebrew Channel apps? As I've understood it, if you have slow or programs that hangs upon start, that's generally a nand-related problem (Hardware). You see, the operating system on a Wii doesn't get slow such as a Windows computer. And the hacks are not always active, a cIOS is only used when a program demands it, like a Usbloader, otherwise while at the system menu screen, the Wii couldn't care less about the cIOS.

So a system format will reset all the user data, saves and such, but won't affect any "hacks" such as priiloader, bootmii and cIOS. Generally it's not needed to remove IOS, but ofcourse you can, I have no idea of any guide, I couldn't find one either while being intressed in doing it...

Anyway step one should be to run Syscheck, you can grab a version from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/syscheck-hacksden-edition.356133/ Post the result in a spoiler here
