I set-up Henkaku and enso while I was waiting for my SD2Vita to arrive. When it did, I followed the guides found online on how to configure SD2vita.

Following those guides verbatim lead me to not having Molecular shell or Vitashell on my livearea. I tried everyone's advice about booting without SD first and copying files and such, but they didn't work. Since then, I've formatted my Vita several times trying to follow through all the steps again, both with enso and without.

In the most recent attempt, I tried to setup SD2vita before setting up Enso, and after booting to my SD card and running Henkaku, I get a "the file is corrupt" error when trying to run Molecular shell.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

"The file is corrupt" error shows up when you have an app installed in a memory card but your system has the SD2Vita mounted (and viceversa), since the app is in the database but it is not in the memory that is mounted the system won't launch it and assume the file is corrupted.

Easy fix, mount the SD2vita again and go to the henkaku website, once it launches the webpage press the buttom R and keep it pressed, this will reinstall molecular shell the memory card or SD2vita (ehatever is mounted) and will now work.

The error "the file is corrupt" could be because of:
*The SD2Vita adapter was not set up properly so just take it out, rub the contacts of both the adapter and the sd card GENTLY and try again
*Make sure you have the path to the sd2vita skprx plugin set up correctly. It should be right below *KERNEL as it has to load with the system
*Which micro sd card are you using? I've had problems with "fake" sd cards before. Make sure you have an sd card bought from a trusted source. I would recommend samsungs sd cards
*If after none of these things works, try to reset the vita and format everything. I suggest you take out the sd2vita adapter before resetting.
I have a tutorial on here describing my experience with enso+sd2vita combo and how to format properly :D https://gbatemp.net/threads/enso-sd2vita-factory-reset.484075/

Good luck!;)

I tried your formatting guide as well. In fact I've done it several times since I felt like I needed to start over and I think I've gone through the sd2vita setup at least 6 times now.

I have a feeling the sd2vita adapters are crap. When I try to connect by USB in Vitashell it always says 'insert microsd'. The SD card is a brand new Samsung class10 so it should be fine.

I've done this as part of my steps too. Along with the hold L trick back when I tried with Enso to disable the plugins. All this did was require me to reconfigure the config.txt.

I usually get that error if I remove the microsd while the system is on (including standby) until it's rebooted

I have a feeling the sd2vita adapters are crap.
Some may be, it's not like they're designed to last 10 years of daily fiddling or individually tested (not even meaningful as each console has its tolerances))

Have you selected the usb mount as sd2vita in vitashell?

I can try.

In this part Tony mentions a scenario where you install an app (e.g., a game) on the memory card. In its configuration files, the PS Vita expects to find all relevant files for that app on the memory card. After all, that's where you installed it.

Later, if you install another storage location (e.g., an SD2Vita), your PS Vita might now 'see' the SD2Vita as the memory card. However, if you do not properly change all configurations and settings, your Vita is looking for the app on the 'new memory card' (i.e., the SD2Vita) while the actual data might still only be on the original Sony memory card you used in the very beginning. So the pathways to the installed data are incorrect.

Easy fix, mount the SD2vita again and go to the henkaku website, once it launches the webpage press the buttom R and keep it pressed, this will reinstall molecular shell the memory card or SD2vita (ehatever is mounted) and will now work.
This looks like a way to install certain apps again that reconfigure the Vita. This could fix the incorrect pathways.

Or at least, that's what it sounds like.

Please! Can someone help me? I have PS Vita Slim unlocked in version 3.65. When I try to use sd2vita 5.0 with a 256GB SD card from Sandisk and when I restart applications, for example, vitashell is a corrupted file. Follow the HardLevel youtube video. I've tried to copy the files from ux0 to sd card. Card formatted in "Exfat - 32kb, 64kb and standard" and did not work. I've tried to delete or rename the folder "tai /" from ux0. But it didn't work either. I've also tried to edit the "Ur0" config.txt file and it didn't work either. I have already installed the latest version "AutoPlugin" and the new version II. I chose the option "install SD2VITA plugin" and restarted and when I see the system the 256GB was recognized. Appears in capacity and free space "-" this trace started h-encore and when I access the applications they appear as a corrupted file. I try to restore the applications through Qcma, but the message "You need a memory card inserted" appears, then I have to format and start the unlock process again. The unlocking works, the AutoPlugin sd2vita function does not. I researched on foreign youtube channels as "Tech James" and I was unable to use sd2vita. So I decided to buy a sd2vita from the video at Mercado Livre. Does it work now? Anyone who can help me will be very grateful.
