Here is the deal. I use Luma3ds with BS9 installed. I got hit with the first ban wave so I started using a public friend code seed. Now it too has been banned. So I was going to try again. I installed the UnBrick app let it get one. I restarted into Decrypt9 to install it then resarted back to the Home Menu to check if the new seed worked. But as soon as the Home Menu loads up when homebrew are it goes blank then changes to a basic Home Menu with no Theme or Homebrew apps showing. I have restarted several times and still no go. ANyone no how to fix this?

Sounds like the data on the SD card is corrupt.
For a test can you backup the Nintendo 3DS folder to your PC and then delete it from the SD card, set a theme and restart the 3DS to see if it kept the theme.
If it does its corrupt data, if it does not then might be bad SD card.
Failing that do you have a NAND backup?

GodMode9 loads up fine as does Decrypt9WIP, and Luma configuration.

I have the Animal Crossing cart and it says it has an update. It was fully updated. But when I choose to update it now says Error Code 009-4079 "Could not access SD Card".

I think you corrupted the NAND.You need to restore a NAND backup.Next time you inject a lfcsb always make a backup first

I tried your idea. It kept the theme. What should I do now?

I did a backup before installing. But not sure if I can restore it.

Restore a NAND backup to uncorrupt the NAND.

Put your NAND backup in the files9 folder, open up dycrypt9 and go to sysnand options, sysnand backup/restore then NAND restore (keep hax)

For the SD card error check if the SD has a write protect switch and its off.
You could also try to see if the SD card has filesystem corruption by running check disk or disk check on Windows.
If it finds issues you can try to copy back the Nintendo 3DS folder to the SD card after removing the one that is there.
If you restore the folder and the issue persists, the data is damaged and you will have to start clean, no games, no apps.
If this is the case you will need to install FBI through one of the listed methods on THE guide.
Post back your results.

sounds like your sd card, can you copy stuff to it from your pc and eject it, then plug back in and see if it's still there? My nephews just started with this and it was a bad sd card. put in a new card, copied over his nintendo 3ds folder and he was good.

No, the system is already hacked, you will just need to make sure boot.firm is in the root of the SD card and you can just go from there.
The biggest problem is reinstalling FBI and basic programs. Follow the last part of THE guide https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup and you'll be back up and running again.

Also, remember to delete the Nintendo 3DS folder on the SD card to reset the data store.

Can the save file be used for Animal crossing? Because using a seperate sd card (though way too small) allows the game to try to update but it says that a system update is needed to do that. I don't want to get off of 11.2.
