I already have a PC that can kind of run PC Games, its just my graphics card unit has been in a slump. As far as RAM or CPU goes I have decently powerful chips that can run games like Dark souls its just the graphics aren't compatible with most of the games, the only downside with my current CPU though is the fact I can't run a game like Garry's Mod. But its almost neglectable because I don't othen run huge open world sand boxes that require an extreme amount of CPU or ones that can be completely changed in terms of gameplay i.e; Minecraft, Garry's Mod, COD Zombies, and so fourth.

Here are my PC Specs (I just found this on a website conveniently, and ran their application. It works out well for managing and figuring out some of your computers hardware without consistently looking for it in Windows or another application.)
Capture.JPG

The name is just my PC User Name in windows, I'd just prefer not showing it since it has nothing to do with graphics or utilities.
Currently I have Intel HD Graphics but that doesn't look like it will be enough to run games like Star wars Battlefront for example. Any solutions?

All I need to know is what is a good graphics card that runs most modern games. I don't think CPU would be an issue but if you think it might be pls tell me.
Thanks!

What's your budget for a GPU?

Around $70 seems like a decent budget. I can go overboard and fork in $150 dollars at some point but I don't have the money atm.

Anything over $200 may be overkill, but i'm clueless when it comes to hardware and software requirements most of the time.

I'd recommend going with the $150 budget and get a GTX 1050ti. If you really want to stick with sub-$100 though, find a decently-reviewed RX 460

Alright thanks dude. I wish gaming PC's were more easily explained when replacing parts or equipment. Its funny becuase I used to look into this stuff previously like it was an extremely difficult task and required soldering experience. Doesn't seem to be the case lol, after awhile of research and scrambling I managed to figure out the basics basically for replacing PC parts.

Btw sorry to ask another question but, is there a place to trade in my graphics card once I replace it, or nay? I may not have any plans on going back to older graphic units (idk why you would want the older one anyway since I may just end up using that one for all eternity.)

And the BIO's that alter the graphic specifications. Are those all written in a graphics card or are they inside the PC. i.e so if you change the graphics card you get a new bio's provider.

Basically eBay is the only place you're going to be able to offload old GPUs

Also, be careful when buying a new midrange Nvidia or high end AMD card, because Etherium mining has sent GPU prices through the roof. Post a link of the card you want here (if you find one) and I'll tell you if the price is reasonable or inflated

Just to get an idea of how these card manufactures are like;
Intel works to keep graphics cards affordable, but they have/posses some problems with their customizability compared to most graphic cards and they lack power actually it comes with most/all standard PC's. Unless you buy a specialized one meant for PC Gaming.
AMD works to keep them up to par with Nvidias standards. Other than that I can't really figure out why people would go out and get one. Minus the power factor, I think again, it just serves as a cheaper way to buy something on par with Nvidia.
Nvida works to keep them really powerful so they can be utilized for ultra graphics for gaming or high-medium graphical settings. Mostly used in gaming PC's and probably a better option if you plan on getting something like, idek GTA with probably a 10 FPS difference.

Other than the GTX1020 - GTX1090 Model's I can't really find anything to take into account, like how customizable you can make the graphics cards in the bios, or how loud the card may be running in my PC, or if I will need cooling fans/heat tempeture "moderation" I guess.

This was good advice. If the card fan noise is an issue, go for the Palit gtx 1050 ti Kalmx as its passive cooled and very capable.
Also don't bank on being able to 'trade in' your existing graphics card - it's probably on-board given the description.

Is there any way to tell how loud a gpu fan is online at stores?
Intel doesn't try to do anything, they just give onboard graphics that are the bare minimum to do something with the computer
That's probably a good thing to note, I should probably avoid Intel products from now on then.
So far all that really interests me that's cheap (for me) and a better card choice is the Nvidia GTX 1050 (Like you suggested), I highly doubt I would have issues with changing graphics cards as long as I also upgrade my power supply unit, but should I look out for anything else when buying a graphics card?

The last thing I want is my system to overheat with the new GPU Installed, or even worse it doesn't even fit inside the motherboard. (The attachment thing you attach it to inside the PC.)

Look at the dB label, if they're advertising it. The lower the number, the quieter the fans will be. Also look for things like "fans don't spin up until it hits 80*C"

You can absolutely still get Intel CPUs in the future, just keep in mind that the onboard graphics solution that comes inside of them is nothing to brag about (and they don't make dedicated GPUs)

Make sure you get the Ti version, and whatever card you get make absolutely certain you get the 4GB option; you're going to notice a big difference if you only have 2GB of VRAM

Also, your power supply should be fine, as most of the 1050ti cards only draw power from the motherboard (max of 75W), but feel free to post what PSU you have just to make sure

Also, sorry, I completely missed this question!!

The motherboard BIOS and GPU BIOS are two different things that are stored on the respective hardware. You can change motherboard BIOS settings before boot by holding a dedicated key on your keyboard (usually DEL), and you can change certain GPU BIOS settings from within Windows using a program called MSI Afterburner (before you ask, yes, it works for cards from any brand)

Petethepug, If you are in desperate need of a graphics card, feel free to PM me. I have one you may like to have for a decent price. If you are comfortable with PayPal and having me shit tin to you of course.

I looked into this PC stuff even more because it was confusing the hell out of me. Don't get me wrong I know how most of the components (CPU, GPU, Power Supply.) Work but even with that information its still confusing piecing together everything, and I'm not confident in making a PC as a beginner. As much as I want to do that stuff and act smart with words or abbreviations *cough Wii Hacking section, cough* I don't want to screw anything up on my PC as a first timer. It seems simple doing this stuff but its frustratingly confusing.

However, after researching for hours on what may be the best solution, and talking to my folks at home. I believe heading into Best Buy and asking their tech squad to assemble this new graphics card might be the best way to handle replacements from now on.

I also realized I had an integrated graphics card in my PC which still means I can upgrade my graphics card. However that also means it will be emulated when put onto the motherboard. (It will work with the computer still and give you better graphics, but it may not give you the exact graphical capabilities, or have some issues. Its like the Nintendo Switch having it switch to 720p when undocked, and 1080p in docked mode, not sure if that's the best example but that is all I can think of. Nothing about the picture really significantly changes.) I'm thinking about just replacing my PC all together and take out all the PC Components and essentially buy a PC without an integrated graphics card. That way I can just upgrade easily without that worry.

In the mean time though, I'm just going to save my money and see where I go from there "once I get the money" :P
Thanks for the help and recommendations guys.

A better CPU wouldn't necessarily help with higher game performance, unless there's an issue of too few cores or the new CPU had a significantly higher relative clock speed
I may be wrong but; in certain games that require and mostly rely on CPU (Garry's Mod, Minecraft, you can also probably argue mods for games on Skyrim, Fallout, COD Mods or zombies, maybe Left 4 Dead mods.)

An (i'm making up this cpu, lets just say its the worst.) Intel i1 CPU with the best graphics card on the market playing Garry's mod is much different than an i9 cpu.

But for the most part cpu is non-existant in most games. A game like Bioshock, or Doom relies purely on graphics for the most part, not really anything crazy on CPU. An i3 should be able to handle the game.
