Well as we all know the 3ds is still an active system and it's tricky finding downloads especially ones that aren't loaded with scareware and bs links.

So I found a .3ds version of a game that seems cool and I wanted to try it online. Will I get busted? Will I be able to play w other ppl?

And what is better to have the .3ds or cia version of a game.

Got luma+FBI and homebrew launcher Installed

To play online with a .3ds game you need your own private header or else you will get banned.

Cia games dont have that problem and you can play online as much as you want.

Thanks for telling me, so I guess I'll look for cia games. How would I get my own header if I really had to

Just play them normally. If the game is out of region you'll have to find the update in CIA format, or install it with FreeShop or CIAngel.
By the way, I recommend using FreeShop, you can download and install games directly on the 3DS from Nintendo's servers, no need for CIAs or dodgy file hosts.

Btw I have godmode9 why would I need decrypt9wip? Still seems nice though. And why wouldn't I be able to play .3ds games in the homebrew launcher? I can use emulators that are in .3ds format.

And that site with the cias is the file key site used for freeShop, but I plan on installing that and CIAngle soon anyways.

And I guess your saying don't risk it with those cias and getting banned

ok, just saw for myself,, .3ds games cannot play (had to try), godmode9 does not convert them into cias,

the site im using is fileticket or something like that, it is the site you need to download the encrypttickets file for freeshop. when I scan the qr code, it asks me if I want to create a ticket,, im wondering if those cias are safe,
