Homebrew Need help, Soundhax not working for me

This is my first time doing anything other than "intended use" with a 3ds and I'm having an issue. I'm trying to use Soundhax and when it starts to load it freezes with random stuff on top and red screen on bottom. Does the SD card have to be clean when you first use it? It has stuff from my phone on it like pictures but I don't see how that would interfere with it [Edit] I am removing the stuff from my phone to see if that works. I have a new 3ds version 11.3.0-36U

Red screen on the bottom means you are missing boot.3dsx.

(thought I would just ask this on here)
So... I installed soundhax in november last year on my n3ds(xl, in case that matters) and tbh I haven't been using it for maybe two months or so. Everything went perfect back then, no problems. NOW TODAY I wanted to open it again and it just keeps crashing. I didn't change anything on the sdcard and im pretty sure there was no update that could have possible patched all that stuff. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you updated to 11.3? If so then you need to update the payload, just go to smealum's git page and download the otherapp.bin for your region and console. Doing that should work if you haven't touched the sdcard files for soundhax since november

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install it. But it keeps saying me, that "failed to locate takeover object :<"

i tried it maybe 20 times and it keeps saying me same. I have an old 3DS. System: 11.3.0.36E

Ah, yes. That should be the problem. Thanks! (Honestly, i couldve gotten that idea myself, but apparently i really am just stupid...:/)

Ok, now this is just stupid. I updated the payload a few days ago, and everything worked perfectly again. Now today, there was another Update. So I, of course, updated it again. But now it just doesn't work anymore at all. When I want to open that nedwill-file, it just says "Could not play." Please, help!

is there a way to do it on version 6.2.0? because my o3ds is that firmware and i cant seem to get the homebrew launcher working pff

SoundHax is patched on 11.4. With some co-operation from another person you can get doodlebomb though.

Soundhax isn't working for me. I followed the instructions from smealum.github and got the boot.3dsx, otherapp.bin, and soundhax using the correct 3ds version (My version is 11.4.0-37U). When i opened my 3ds the nedwill 2016 audio file says "Could not play". i don't understand what's wrong, can somebody help me?

Oh. That's weird because the other app.bin worked with my version. Anyway thx for telling me. Anyone know when it'll work for 11.4?

Soundhax will never work for 11.4

Hey!

May I bump this guys? I seem to have a similar issue - I have a New 3DS which was on 9.9, however I had an issue with Soundhax that when I went into Nintendo 3DS Sound, and then executed the 'file' the screen goes back, the text comes up and then kicks me out with no error - see attached URL.

I've also attached a pic of how the SD card looks as well, urgent help needed please! This is driving me crazy!!!

(I did do a cart update via Pokeon Sun to 11.0.0.-26E but that's made F all difference, and I did then change the payload file to match but still nothing!

HELP :-)

Are you 100% sure you picked the correct firmware when you got the otherapp.bin?

Hey! Thanks for replying. 100%, just to be sure I just re-downloaded it and made 1000% sure it was correct, and it's still doing the same.

Did you get the boot.3dsx from the guide or was it one you had on your computer already? In your gif it shows 2.8 beta but I think the latest version is 2.9 alpha. Try using the one from here: https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/
