NVIDIA has not reported on making a GPU for Nintendo. All they have said is that they are making a CPU for them.
No theyre making the gpu too. You didnt even read the article you linked :rofl2::rofl2:

I find it highly unlikely. Nintendo is known for using older hardware. Also I do not believe for a second that in order for it to be at around the 300 dollar price point that its speculated to be then it cannot possibly be Pascal. To use Pascal I believe that Nintendo would be forced to increase the cost and that would make no sense to compete with the Xbox One and PS4 who both respectively sit at that 300 dollar price point. Unless Nvidia gave them a deal just to get some hold in the console market considering AMD is monopolizing that area with PS4 and Xbox One. either way we wont know for sure until we see an official specs announcement.
This is the next gen - it's not so much competing with the XBoner or PS4, it's competing with XBTwo/PS5 when those are eventually released. It makes sense that the price will be higher than current gen consoles, brand new devices are always more expensive.

SoC means System on Chip, which means everything (CPU, GPU, potentially RAM) would be on a single silicon die made by NVidia. While that doesn't technically confirm what a theoretical eGPU would be made by, it would be very silly for it to be sourced from anyone other than NVidia for compatibility/business purposes

@Attacker3 All your doing is
They are not making a standalone GPU buddy. It's integrated with the CPU.
Meaning that they are making the gpu with the cpu. They havent announced a standalone yet. All you do is make assumptions. Also based on parker we know the gpu is separate from the cpu. You have literally done 0 research and your input is becoming terrible by the second.

I disagree. By the time those release, we will have a Switch 2.

I dont think ram will be integrated.

This is parker.

That's another thing. All the RAM would have to be on the tablet.
Ram can be made small calm down.

Oooh, salty man, just because I am trying to be realistic and putting my two cents in.
But your two cents were highly useless becuase youve done zero research.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

6gb of ram could quite comfortably fit in this machine which is enough when competing against ps which only has 5gb of available ram due to its massive os which im sure the switchs os is much smaller (could be as low as 50mb)

And what research have you done? I am using my experience in the hardware industry and making my hypothesis. You are being truly unrealistic if you think it's going to be multiple processors that can hotswitch. It wouldn't be that impossible if it wasn't hotswitching, but it is, and that is difficult to do without MAJOR problems.

You are kidding yourself if you think the Switch OS will be 50mb

Except I have and have actually done a lot of the things ive said are a possibility. Your realism is out of touch with the modern world. just look up on youtube videos of hot switching and how simple it is.

He is not playing a game. Show me a video with someone doing that with a game.
A video game is a different thing however nintendo as @TotalInsanity4 had said have to make an SDK which allows devs to use hot swapping without causing negative effects.
But the facts are we see no adverse effects on the os
