Why would they put a GPU in controller?
edit: misread what he wrote, thought he was talking about the console dock.

Thats an assumption scalibility can be interpreted in many ways. This can mean that it can become more powerful when docked but it doesnt exclude the possibility of extra horsepower.NVIDIA pretty much confirms it is just a scalable processor in this article.
Dock is just a power brick confirmed.

You forget how tiny these processors are. it could quite easily fit another gpu and cooling from the back. There is no way the dock could fit an extra processor in there.

Hot swapping isnt hard. Its quite fast when using an egpu. Ive done a lot of research in this and tried it out myself. And you forget how stupid that would be. The hotswitching that was seen in the trailer would be very difficult to figure out with 2 processors.

Don't you love it when people have absolutely no idea what they are talking about keeps spouting off BS... I just find it so cute.
With my own laptop through a thunderbolt cable and a dock to place a 750ti for laptop gaming.Uh huh, with what?
You are kidding yourself if you think the dock is going to have an extra processor in them.

It won't have a CPU, but it could handle light post-processing effects on the low end and potentially hot-change between a more powerful GPU on the high endUh huh, with what?

Yes, you can.And you could just take the GPU out and in while gaming? I do not believe that.

Quote the person, buddy. You just look pretentious without a quote.
The gpu will obviously be nvidia. That makes sense, but then we have no idea who is making the GPU.
I don't think it requires a quote.. as anyone with two braincells can tell who I'm referring to with that comment.
Yes, actually. Look up Thunderbolt GPU docks. It does crash the game when removing the GPU but the system stays stable, and with the right SDK to build games you could theoretically make it so games immediately switch to the integrated tablet SoC when removed from the dockAnd you could just take the GPU out and in while gaming? I do not believe that.
