I got a second hand PSV, but the damm thing cant be conected to the PC by USB, I tried with the cable that came with the console, and charge, but the PC doesnt recognize it, then I bought another USB cable, and still the same, just Charge, but no conecction.
I was so excited to install henkaku, but the USB port of the vita seems to be damaged.

Is there a way to update to 3.60 without USB cable?

My Current Firmware is 3.36.

Have a good look in the port on the Vita, sometimes dust/lint can get in there and block some connections, clean it out with compressed air or a toothpick and try again.

I cleaned the USB ports, and the PS Vita, and still the same.
Trying to update via USB launche the Error C0-13296-1. I read that is a code for no USB cable found. (something like that).
I think maybe its the Vita itself :/

EDIT:

I tried the proxy method and got Stuck on the XML, doing the MAP Local, and then trying to update send me an error C3-XXXXX-X, then tried with diferent XML, and nothing.
I gave up :/ I tried everything...

Had the same problem.
Reinstall qcma and when asked for the driver selection, choose the lower one (I forget what two options were there but the lower one worked for me)

I had the same problem. I don't remember how i solved it but there are 2 main things you should try:
1. Reinstall qcma. In the end there are 3 different drivers for the port. Try all of them. If one doesn't work, reinstall and choose the others.
2. Open qcma. In the "Other" tab, choose "Manual" for CMA Protocol selection and then choose your firmware version on CMA Protocol version. For the options, don't tick anything beside "offline mode".
Hope that helps!

anyway qcma sucks. it requires a PSN registered VITA

Sony sucks for making it so, QCMA rocks for lessening the pain (blocking updates etc).

Requiring an account is likely a limitation on the Vita content manager side. If it was just as easy to create a CMA replacement that didnt require the vita to have an psn account, im sure codestation/yifan would have gone that way instead.

Tbh it took me like 2 mins to create a PSN account only to use QCMA. That's not a big deal.
And we need qcma not only to update but also to transfer file. 10-20x times faster than using wifi transfer.

@BakerMan, Any idea what happened? I hope that your brother's doing good.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.

He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.

What matters now is that he's doing alright.
