not sure if this is the right place, but it seemed as good as any to post my question.
basically i'm trying to get the sound from my 3ds playing through my laptop so i can record it with the stereo mix thing through audacity/cyberlink audio director/fl studio/basically whatever i can get it to work with tbh, but there doesn't seem to be a linein anywhere. just a headphone jack(that i suspect doubles as a mic jack since there doesn't seem to be one of those either). in fact i can't even get my laptop to play sound from the 3ds much less record it. i can get it to play through my speakers(audioengine 2+ if that makes a difference. not sure if it will, but i want to get as much info up as possible for someone to help), but then can't record it with the stereo mix. recording with the laptop's built in mic from my speakers is also a no go because the sound quality is total crap. muddy doesn't even begin to describe it. basically i'm wondering if anyone knows how to record with stereo mix from the speakers, or how to get the 3ds to play through the laptop(hp pavilion btw. not sure of the exact model or anything like that, but it's the 2015 version). the cyberlink audio director has a "what you hear" recording thing that might work, but i can't get it to record my speakers. only the laptop which doesn't help at all because i can't play the 3ds through my laptop.
