it started loooong long time ago, hrth had its brth in 2006 (see what I did thr?), in the "testing area" of GBAtemp (when it was actually used as testing purpose. It's now the End of Forum used for ... I don't want to know what it's used for!)
Users posted things there to test avatars, smileys, bbcodes, etc.
kristianity77 (still an active user) posted random letters "hrth" to test his avatar. everybody replied to him "hrth" too.
