What did you edit on your beach? And have you edited the color of your train station? because I found out that effects/links to sending & receiving letters too.

also changing your town/mayor names.

are you using the browser version or the program? the program has fixed this issue, you can change your town hall/station colour and/or town/mayor names
and still get mail

NLSE had a bug (which had been fixed some days ago) where did not fix all town/player ID references after: changing roof colors, changing town name, changing player name or changing player gender. That means your player acts like an stranger and cannot send letters or do other things.
In order to fix it, first you need to edit your savegame with NLSE or my editor and set the exact previous values for your town/players. Save with the editor, then open it again and change the values again (they won't glitch anymore).

NLSE is not mine by the way.

Hello, posting here again. I have a question- would it glitch my game if I don't set the stone areas below the town hall/recycle shop? I have a plan for my town but I won't be able to work it out if having those is something necessary.

nope! i know nothing;ll happen if there isnt cobblestone below your town hall & retail but i'm not sure about not having a town plaza cobblestone area (regardless if the tree is anywhere near it)

in short:
town hall, sure
retail, sure
plaza, eh

Someone told me about this and I got SO happy
but, on the website, it says
" Open your garden.dat or acnlram.bin file here "
yeah, well I read the instructions on the site over and over
but idk where to download my acnlram.bin file ???
I stayed up til' like, 6am trying to find this but, I can't find it anywhere..

Okay wracking my brains out here and have been searching and searching! I found a CIA for a browser version where the exploit works for me, I tried installing it using BigBlueBox(Menu) and it said it installed correctly. However when I attempt to use the browser exploit, the game freezes and does nothing. I ran this from EmuNAND mind you, so I tried again in SysNAND and the browser didn't work, but it didn't freeze, it just didn't load the file into my SD card. I have been trying to find out how to install the browser update to my sysNAND but I can't find anything anywhere. Can someone please give me an idea how to do this?!

How? All I want to do is update the browser on SysNAND

Edit: the problem I have having right now is, while the version under the Gateway menu is at the right version, when I boot up my actual 3DS and don't enter gateway, the version of the Browser is still the old one. So I tried loading Gateway in Classic Mode, and running ACNL using my original cartridge, and it doesn't work. It just doesn't install the file to the SD.

Use savedatafiller to extract your gamesave. As for your Sysnand version, idk

And what would that allow me to accomplish? Does the editor support that?

Yes, the editor support that. If your game is CIA, be sure to erase the anti-savegame thing

My game is not a CIA game, it is an original cartridge.

Then you can just extract and restore your save without the removing the anti-savegame thing

Okay I am lost, I installed SaveDataFiler, and all the files listed under User say broken, but they still load up perfectly fine when I play them. What am I doing wrong!?

I am going to assume the version I have is too old...I can't for the life of me find a latest version

Starting to give up

I can't get SaveDataFiler to work, I can't get RAM dumping to work. I can't get homebrew to work (I don't have Cubic ninja/ironhax/tubehax because I can't get any of those :/). Seriously getting frustrated with this, it's even more annoying that people who have my issues and fixed it just say "hey I fixed it!" but wont tell you HOW.

Okay there are a few pieces of information you need to know:

The ram method doesn't work on Gateway Emunand (for like 99% of people). Actually, it doesn't work in Emunand in general, although there are some lucky enough for it to work.
You can't use savedatafiler on an original cartridge using Gateway because of their rom menu patches.
You can't use NTR 3.0 + the save plugin either because of the same reason above.
The homebrew save apps like SVDT, TDVS, and Savedatamanager won't be able to see your cart in Gateway emunand or sysnand for the same reason above.

The only way for you to extract your save easily is to first setup a CFW like rxTools, Cakes, etc., at which point all the above options will be available to you;
OR run the Homebrew Launcher in regular sysnand (meaning NO gateway patches). Have you tried browserhax or themehax?
