Hey guys,
A friend of a friend is in China on vacation and said they'd be able to buy me one of the Chinese 3DSes. I've wanted one of these for a while, partially as a neat souvenir since most people in the West never get to see them, partially for hacking purposes.
I know 4.5 was the current firmware when the system was first released in China, and I assume the Gateway used to work with it, hence why the newer version of their DS launcher has an option for Chinese region consoles. But what I'm wondering about is if they've been updated since then - he would be buying a new one, so it would probably not have 4.5.
And on that note, does the iQue have a browser like the rest - and if so, does the browser exploit work, so that I could run rxTools or Gateway's launcher?
It's relatively expensive (almost $300 MSRP after conversion) so I don't want to have him buy one unless I'm 100% sure it will be exploitable like other regions.
