I know $300 isn't much at all. But I won't use it for any intense gaming (Like GTA 5), just programming, emulation, EDuke32, and a few other simple things. A great graphics card isn't important IMO. I had shitty laptop for several years and the graphics never bothered me. And like I said, it won't be used for intense stuff, just some basic things and maybe a few more modern games (not too hardware demanding though)

Processor: AMD Athlon 5150 1.60GHz Quad-Core AM1 RET
Motherboard: MSI AM1I AM1 CV X16 2D3 M32 GL MITX
RAM: 8GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800
Hard Drive: Toshiba 1TB 3.5 SATA3 7200RPM 32MB Cache
Optical Drive: DVD±RW DL 24x SATA Black
Video Card: Onboard Video Graphics
Network Card: 10/100/1000 Gigabit Network Onboard
Keyboard & Mouse: Logitech USB Keyboard and Mouse Combo
OS: Ubuntu Desktop 14.04.1

I have a Windows 7 disc at my house and may use that instead of Ubuntu.

With the lowest end APU Athlon powering it, it should be okay for general use and light gaming.
As for value... $70 for the APU and motherboard, $110 for the RAM and HDD, $15 for the ODD, $20 (maybe) for the keyboard and mouse, and no mention of the case and PSU (I assume the cheapest possible)... I'm not sure exactly how much value is actually there.

The case is a cheap one. I don't give 2 fucks about what it looks like

Do you think it could run Dolphin Emulator (with proper settings) at an ok speed? (75% +) Mario Kart Wii to be exact

My old laptop runs some gamecube at decent speed with lowest settings, so I guess yours is going to do better

Dolphin will choke on this. You need at least a Phenom II X4 965 in AMD terms and an okay-ish GPU too.

I say decrease your RAM to 4GB or 6GB and get a better AMD APU
