These stronger phones are also far more expensive. It just doesn't look like it because you pay for it through your monthly phone bill instead of all at once.
You don't have to pay a cell phone bill for emulators.

The phone doesn't come free with the emulators either.
VC emulation of N64 is pretty good on the Wii.N64 is really hard to emulate... Even on Wii, the N64 emulation sucks
Not likely. This is Nintendo we're talking about.Kind of sad a cellphone is stronger than these deticated gaming devices. I hope next generation Nintendo gets their rump in gear.
While this is true, the 3DS was overpriced for what it offered, especially at launch. These stronger phones are also far more expensive. It just doesn't look like it because you pay for it through your monthly phone bill instead of all at once.

Yeah PCs and smartphones have to be stronger than a gaming console. All a game system has to do is play games, no overhead from other apps and multi-purpose OS. Of course, with today's consoles adding more pc-like features, this is becoming less the case, and the dedicated gaming console is showing just how underpowered and limited it really is.Why would a cellphone not be stronger than a dedicated gaming device from half a decade ago?
What? Do u remember ultrahle? I use emulator from the firts mame release... my pentium100 +voodoo2 12mb can run n64 games... same for psx a emu called bleem! And other for old apple computer can run psx games.. why 3ds cant?

While that's true of PCs, I wouldn't say the same of smartphones. Most apps don't require nearly as much power as console games. This is true even of game apps, seeing how most games for smartphones are small, simple and casual. Add to that the fact that multitasking is very limited in smartphones, especially compared with PCs.Yeah PCs and smartphones have to be stronger than a gaming console. All a game system has to do is play games, no overhead from other apps and multi-purpose OS.
With Ninjhax, no, but if we had full access, then yes.
Thank you for having some perspective on the matter.I feel like in the shuffle there's a bit of a mixup about emulation. There are no completely accurate N64 or PS1 emulators. There is a completely accurate (Or about as close as you can get, Cycle Accurate). These sorts of emulators take a lot of juice to run. I recommend reading here for more information: http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Emulation_Accuracy
Sure, maybe there'll be an N64 emulator with really low accuracy that can run on 3DS. Compatibility would likely be low and it would generally be pretty bad.
"There's an N64 emulator for worse hardware" "My old shitty PC had an N64 emulator" this does not mean it would work well on the 3DS.
tl;dr: Possible? Yeah. Worth using at all? Probably not. I hope I'm proven wrong.
Easily. The 3ds has the power, and since Gateway has prett much full access (RAM, kernal) it'd be possible. How about with a gateway?

Yep, hopefully, except n64 is damn hard to emulateAwesome. I hope someone has an interest in it and starts development on it.
im not going to sit here and pretend i know everything about emulation because i damn dont lol and i want n64 on 3ds just like everyone else but let me try and sound smart (pros fill in the blanks lol)
but the N64 is running a MIPS R4300i clocked at 93.MHz and the 3ds is running a ARM11+ARM9 at 286MHz. The architectures are completely different making it harder to run N64 on 3ds
the reason PSP can even run it at all is because it is running a MIPS R4000 which is in the same or similar architecture as the 64 (i believe)
