Private keys are not found, they are almost NEVER found. At least if they are nobody shares them. Wasn't that what Sony messed up? You can do what TSK mentioned with the common key? Here are the keys off the top of my head. What others ones are there and what are these and other keys needed for?

1.) Ancast keys
2.) Title keys (per game, right, unique?)
3.) Common key
4.) vWii keys that I guess are the same as with the Wii (right?)

Hard reset was SAID to have been needed to get to the OTP area, right? Where other keys are stored? I also thought the IOSU exploit was needed to go further than a kernel exploit? Haha, this is going to be interesting. Can we pretend today is Christmas? Lol, spell out what keys you have since they cannot be stopped, supposedly? Decryption...common key...ancast keys were talked about before...each game has a title key.... The tool I thought Crediar made but was "not useful without the common key"? Lol. I hate guessing.
how do you obtain such keys ?

You simply ask the console nicely and it will give them to you. Seriously though, this thread is filled with nonsense lately. Why dont we wait for something to be released and then ask a million questions?

Ps. I really wish there was something a mid-grade python developer could do to help the scene. I can slap together a GUI in a jiffy with python/tkinter for one click acess to scripts etc.

Then please do, the RPC script could use some touching up, and besides, it's doing no good just sitting there :P

Provided that such keys will ever be leaked, which they won't, given the stance on "moralist" hackers, it simply ain't gonna happen :creep: Why? All talk, no action. The keys won't be leaked because, reasons*

*Reasons = see, bullshit

The hell?? But is that a definitive reassurance? Is that guaranteed to actually happen? Pardon my skepticism, but...will you, MarioNumber1, and all others involved with Wii U be the ones to actually get a hold of the common key?

im unsure what that means ..
if "we" already own the common key, why theres no further improvement?
For me it looks like that someone is still working on the wii u hack - at least the forums activity leads to that opinion, but why nobody hasnt made any further step even if you got your hands on that very important key?

Of course its not the private one, or anything starbuck related, but as far as i understood it should help a lot to decrypt systems stuff ?!

NW.. Could you shed some light into all our small brains ? The only reason why i keep my WiiU is YOUR action here
i loved zombiU, and i enjoyed MK8 as well as super mario. maybe bayonetta also ...
But those games arent worth the price of hardware and the games themselfs. The things were waiting for is called homebrew :)

Do you think were able to see something media player related in the next year? Yes or Not ?

What homebrew gets made is up to you guys, we're just working on a kernel exploit to allow for more access to the system, once it's finished then you all are the ones who have to use that access to make stuff like media players, emulators, etc.
Once the kernel exploit is finished here sometime in the next few months, it shouldn't be that difficult to package it up into a homebrew launcher, we'd need some artistic people though since neither MN1 nor I are very artistically inclined. I'll let you guys know when the time comes. Once that's finished we can finally release it and homebrew creation can begin.

Would that homebrew launcher be launched through the wii u menu or through the browser?

Through the browser, no (known) work has been done finding an exploit in the loader that would allow you to install content to the system, now that stuff is checked both at install time and everytime it's launched, and there's no guarantee it's even possible.

First, thanks for sharing this. Secondly, as I've pointed out, Nintendo will get this and patch it. There is no way to obfusgate code execution when somebody has complete access to THEIR system. In poker we call what we need "the nut hand." You have a King high heart flush but the Ace high is to have full access and to PREVENT any system updates. Like having a bootmii or priiloader. It would be nice to see a way to downgrade firmware versions if that is necessary OR to back up as a safety net.

Anyone with the abilities to answer questions about this won't share. I am not saying this is stuff that you and mario are working on NWPlayer123. You'll get out a kernel exploit and maybe some below 5.3 can use it. That will happen until Nintendo patches that exploit. I guess people could simply not update but if Zelda and other games/programs require 5.4 to go online and play games (or even add in checks for previous games so that you must be on a current version of firmware) then the choice is an N64 emulator or to play Wii U games. There might be details that are left out but as it is, you're doing this work and without a way to control firmware (including upgrading/downgrading) it will be over in one patch. I GUESS there might be ways to SPOOF a firmware but again, without the level of control the 360, PS3, and Wii had, this is going to be very limiting. I GUESS maybe it will help Wii U sales because you'll need two systems; one for homebrew that you never update and one for normal gaming. I don't have that kind of cash laying around and as Marcan pointed out; any of that homebrew can be done and done more easily on other devices (like Android).

I am anxious to see what you've come up with. Thanks for the work, I only have thoughts and concerns, none of this is intended to be "trash talk." If I am wrong about details then please let me know. I do love the updates NW, thanks for that.

EDIT: about the picture; it does not give proof, it is a window that copies the "hash" and states some text. We've been down some roads with the 4 horsemen and other hoax attempts.

Edit 2: If NWplayer, Marionumber1 or maybe a few others were to say they know for sure the common key is "had" then I'll believe it. If the only proof is that image then I don't think I would buy into it given past experiences. I don't doubt Mario, NWplayer, and a few others (at all). Lol, just to be clear.

Thats the hash for the common key, i got to see that firsthand about a week ago. Somebody already has the key (besides crediar) and he/she intends to either release the key itself or a method for obtaining it. This is what people have been hinting about

hehe well i will say the ancast/espresso keys have already been leaked, titles keys are a per game encryption key for downloading games from NUS, then use the common key to decrypt stuff from NUS ;3 saves etc etc, no vwii keys were changed but were leaked ;3 also the common key hasn't been leaked (YET) ;3 hehe but i have a feeling it will be soon ;3

Can i ask to you what vWii keys are we talking about ?, i never seen any vWii keys without being the ancast vWii Key
