Alf's escape on USB HDD ?

TItle ID seems to be 01005E700ABB9001. But most importantly, it seems that I was wrong: the DLC is available for many platforms, but not for the Wii U ! https://oddworld.fandom.com/wiki/Alf's_Escape That's a bummer. So Wii U users can play New 'n' Tasty and save 299 mudokons, while other...

Alf's escape on USB HDD ?

Hi everybody, I'm running Tiramisu, and I currently have all my Wii U games on a USB drive. It all works perfectly. Among such games, there's the famous "Oddworld - New 'n' Tasty", which I downloaded via Wii U USB Helper. Wii U USB Helper says that "Oddworld - New 'n' Tasty" doesn't have a...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

Hi :) So, I'm still hoping that someday there will be a solution to 'autoboot Padcon with Tiramisu', so that we can turn the gamepad screen off with R3 without having to launch Padcon every time manually. The gamepad screen is something that I rarely use, and it really eats my gamepad battery...

    Making cheating easier ?

Thanks :) I guess it all proves that things could be easier here. I mean, how can it be that jailbreaking a Wii U with Tiramisu is actually much easier than applying cheat codes? :D

    Making cheating easier ?

Hi @AncientBoi . I may have mixed things up, but I am definitely trying to refer to the Wii U here, hence the current forum section. Feel free to correct me, no worries. :)

    Making cheating easier ?

Hi everybody, Just been watching some topics on cheat codes, and for a newbie like me, it all looks awfully complicated : first launching a homebrew (that part is easy), then using a PC app to connect to the console via its IP, then enter some weird hexadecimal strings (that of course you need...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

Only one SD card is enough. 32 GB would be the minimum in order to transfer games (to NAND or to USB) via the SD card. 64 GB or 128 GB would be better if you intend to transfer many games. I transferred about 300 GB from my PC using a single 64 GB card, in roughly 60 GB batches (PC -> SD card...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Tiramisu Environment | Free CBHC

I'm using my freshly modded Wii U normally, with the same UI and everything. Only the Mii app is different : launching it launches the Homebrew Launcher (HBL), but pressing the Home key while in the HBL brings back the Mii app. So, no real differences. Also, Tiramisu requires the SD card to be...

Already thought of that, but my post has been quoted by Maschell, and he hasn't edited it himself so the link remains in his post. If he edits it, I sure will too. And if he doesn't, well, no big deal either.

    From WAD to WUP

WIth that said, I have just read this : "only use/install vWii formatted wads on the vWii or risk bricking". Obviously my wad isn't "vWii formatted" since it's an old Wii game. My modded Wii U works fine as it is. I don't want to risk bricking for just one small additional game...

    From WAD to WUP

I think I get it. :) So the Title Launcher would be like an alias/shortcut/forwarder to the real game that would be in the vWii home menu, stored in NAND. I hope I'm not missing anything. Now I only need to know how to install the WAD directly to my VWii home menu. Baby steps, lol.

I see. Didn't know about that. Selling free stuff and not giving credit is definitely wrong. I hate that. Won't do it again. No worries!

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
