    i just stick w/ torrents.. there's a site that's always updated w/ 3ds games. this causes me to do conversions and what not, but i prefer that option to get the most out of my download speeds (their seeding is top notch)

    i'm still on 10.7.0.32 using luma (v5.4 i believe) & i play online no problem, system only advises to update when i revert back to the home screen edit: i apologize, other games i play have no issues w/ forcing the update but pokemon OS did as mentioned by others

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
