Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

For not64 on Wii, been reading the GBAtemp compatibility list and while Fighting Force does appear to be supported, it looks like it was tested on wii64. The notes mention "rice tested. Needs vwii overclock and not64 cpu dividder set to 1 for full speed." These are settings I don't see in...

Nintendont. auto Any idea where that SD version of the VC game actually lives? I had a WAD file for *installing* WADs, but now that I moved a few to the SD, did those go back into the WAD folder, i assume, making it impossible to figure out which is which (if that makes sense?)

Homebrew WiiSX Game Loading/File Management Questions

Few questions: -- Most of my WiiSX games have a BIN and a CUE file. No ISO. Does WiiSX load bi/cues? The WiiBrew wiki page on it assumes that it does, at least the way I'm reading it. -- I just put BOTH the cue and bin file in the ISOS file and when I load it on my Wii, do I just pick one, or...

If I install a VC game from SD to the internal storage using WAD Manager, and THEN to save space on the internal storage I use the Wii's Storage Manager to move the specific VC game/"channel" from Wii to the SD, can I then delete the WAD from the WAD folder, safely?

Hacking Guide to installing VC games

Is this twilight hack still needed? I'm very stuck trying to figure out how to deal with an error code when I try to install WADs.

Homebrew Yet Another Wad Manager Mod

I'm getting error -1 and was files showing as 0.0 MB. :( I think this happened after I ran Priloader and now am trying to load more WADs. Two we're loaded before. Along with a couple forwarders from Homebrew Channel. I wonder if that messed something up? I have a folder called SNEEK.

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

New question: What's the best way to handle the fact that the Wii has a tiny internal memory? I moved a lot of my VC games over to my SD, but my SD is only 2 GB. I have read about EmuNAND, which makes it sound like you can run VC games from that + USB Loader GX. But is that the only way...

Once I have a ripped game finally in WBFS file format, there isn't anything else for me to before I put it on my USB Hard drive, is there?

Ah, ok, there was my disconnect. Probably another case of me reading old things that aren't true anymore. Thanks! Does formatting it in Fat32 in "32k clusters" still matter? Or nah? Mac doesn't make it very easy to specify the clusters.

Very helpful @banjo2 and @GreyWolf! Edit: Had another Priiloader question, but figured it out. 1) Given what was discussed on formatting as FAT32, I guess I'm confused because any discussion of WBFS makes it sound like once you put those files on your hard drive, the hard drive can't be used...

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Thanks @banjo2 ! I actually got the homebrew browser working (more settings.xml issues), but as mentioned, a lot of stuff on it is outdated so I'm using wiibrew mostly (and this forum) to download things (for latest versions, etc). Next question (maybe my final for a bit): What's the best way...

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Q1) I have hacked using letterbomb, then got the homebrew channel and then backed up using BootMi via IOS. I left the keys file and NAND file in the root folder, but also copied them to my computer for safe keeping. Are they to stay on the root of the SD? Or will that mess something up? Q2)...

    For your steam deck ken?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
If just for PC I would recommend an external hard drive like 2 TB and just build your own bootable drive
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Although even if it's the steam deck and a 1TB MicroSD I would still recommend building it yourself.... Almost all the builds I tried just sucked
