    I think I found out the problem. When changing settings in Nintendont/vWii they were not remembered, so I changed that file on the SD root generated from the VC injector app. Now it remembers and defaults to 16:9.

    Yeah. But I'd really like the games to be injects. The Nintendont forwarder - I tried to download it from USB helper and it says I've done so, but there's nothing in the games folder.

    Thanks. But I have already tried only using Wii U widescreen and that doesn't do it. I am hoping not to use cheats as that would be yet another layer. But should it work with just Wii U widescreen? If so what could be the reason that this isn't working? It must have been something I have done...

    There's an app called FuckYouStick in the Appstore. I wonder if anyone has been using this. Can't find any info to whether this is a toggle or a permanent disable. I am looking for a temporary solution until I receive my ordered new stick to my gamepad. Any thoughts?
