Sorry for the extremely delayed answer, I got between a travel and a moving to a larger house, I ended up using the modchip method. As the modchip supports MC booting I installed OPL and such. It wasn't too easy to solder and ended up frying one PSTwo in the process :( luckily I had ordered a...- mono21400

Thank you all for the info ^-^/ I think I'll use swapmagic until I get my hands on a modbo 4 as invaderyoyo suggest. Any info on the modbo 4? I mean compatibility, features and such. how hard is to solder? I got some practice on soldering (nothing fancy) I would like to know the equipment...- mono21400

Yes, I still got the sticker, I just saw it, it have "R" as the chasis model. I guess I'm out of luck with the FMCB method. is my only hope to get hold of another PSTwo? Or the chip method?- mono21400

Is there a way to know for certain? mine doesn't have a datacode printed below, so I wonder if is there another way. right now I got the PS2 disassembled (I wanted to look which chip it had) maybe there is a print of some sort on the PCB.- mono21400

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
